April 15th WT - WT Society says " Obeying Us is Same as Obeying God "

this is a non-study article in the witness only version of the april 15th titled " do you discern the evidence of god's guidance ?

" essentially in this article the alleged " faithful slave " is telling witnesses that to be approved to survive armageddon- they will have to recognize the " faithful & discreet slave's " authority in their lives.. notice these direct quotes from pg.

4 , " jesus christ is the assigned leader of the congregation.

It is the only way to get the flock to go along with present teaching, without complaint. There is no valid method of non-compliance without consequences. So, "Listen, Obey and Be Blessed" - the title of a new song from the songbook. Elevating oneself or a group is dangerous since there is accountability associated with it. Better it is for equality for a open exchange of ideas, expressions of valid complaints and true fellowship. Being responsible for the salvation and lives of the lowly ones is a sombering thought.

Can you imagine a suggestion box at the KH or at Conventions / Assemblies? How about solictations for individual thoughts on bible passages / doctrine? How about special interest group meetings? Ah, a community fellowship arrangement. It will never, ever happen.

assemblies; how times have changed

my wife mentioned our circuit assembly was this weekend, she looked at me and i let out a chuckle and said "the kids are too sick right?

" (they weren't) but it was what she wanted to hear, an excuse from me to blow it off.

it got us thinking about how they were kind of tolerable when we were younger.. meals with ice cream, lots of volunteering to get you out of your seat.. there was more room at past assemblies.

ASSemblies indeed. Our poor, tired rear ends. Bad seats, some with no backs, some with no AC, some outside in humid or even wet weather. The minute they are done what a relief and no one remembers or even cares what was said. Entertain us with dramas with stupid humor and worship of the visiting big shots. The made up experiences and now re-inactments. Fighting for parking places, waiting in restroom lines and then having to wear lapel cards to eat afterwards. Who can make up such stuff? Give us a break. At least they now record a CD and give it out (on a checkout basis) to the old folks that can't attend. There should be live webinars from a center location with only the best speaker. Treating us like stupid grade school educated dummies. We need to release a new publication, "Assemblies (Conventions) for JW Dummies". It would be the all time best seller. No more need for KM inserts on reserving rooms, proper attire, food to bring, conduct, etc.

couple of things i found kind of interesting.

on the front it has the wording "qualify to live in the paradise" or something to that effect.

just another weird thing that jws teach, having to "qualify" for the paradise, based on your works of course.. the back has the image of daniel with the world powers on it, the bottom has a circle with a "?

The April KM insert has the info on the Convention. It said to save a copy of the invitation for the final talk on Sunday. In looking at the invitation, why do the masses need it for then? The answer is obvious, the ? and the mention of the talk on the right - about God's Kingdom and When. This is going to be hyped up. A new book or brochure on God's Kingdom with an explaination of Daniels' image and the ? will be replaced with something else.

But wait, in 2040 it is nail fungus and ingrown nails! The Devil has craftily entered into the stinking mass and delayed the pitch and pace of the stone throw. In 2050 gangrene has set in and the whole mess has to be cut, not crumbled. Hold on to your hats, shoes and respirator! Run for the caves (Kingdom Halls) and avoid the final fall of the image.

This is coming - mark my words - the circle with the ? is for the toes. During the final talk on Sunday we are told (according to the April KM) to save 1 copy of the invitation. Guess why? The identity of the toes will be revealed! A hush comes over the audience and new light is revealed for all to proclaim to the world. It is the unrest of world governments, groups of protesters in many nations at the breaking point. It is ready to crumble. But wait, the Daniel scripture says the stone will break it. So, what is next? A breakdown of government, people and the coming of Christ's Kingdom as the executioner. All at once! Aren't we blessed to then take our copy and fill in the circle with the right answer! This ranks up there with the 1950 announcement about the "princes of old" relayed by Freddie Franz. Can't wait to be there!!!!!! Insight that only could come from our faithful slave - stand and sing the song "We are guided by the slave and the new light that is flashing". This to be followed by a 10 minute written out prayer recapping all 3 days and give worship to the light sent through the slave. Amen and come Lord Jesus (the stone)!

More Elders than MS's For First Time in WT History

have you heard the good news?.

i heard from a reliable source that for the first time in watchtower history, there are more elders now than ministerial servants.

this is not just a regional issue either, it's worldwide..

Most congregations have more former elders and ms than serving ones. Why? They are burned out, some are unqualified, smarter and won't play the game. That is all it is - a game - look at me I am a big shot. Many of the former servants and elders are more loving, helpful and more qualified than the serving ones. The job is a thankless, political brown nosing system. Interesting that Jesus never mentioned elders, servants or any titles. It was only when Paul entered the scene and the Pharisee methods began to be applied to true Christianity. Do research on "gifts in men" - it is really "gifts of men" taken from Psalms. Even the Interliner shows this and the NW makes it seem that positions are the gifts. A total mis-representation. We are all equal disciples of Christ - nothing more and nothing less.

Sturgeon was so full of himself and his relationship with CTR that he was ready to pop! I find it so unreal that Russell made no mention of his wife the entire time of the last rail trip tour. He was obsessed with himself and believed he was the "servant" and was going to the eternal sainthood in the sky. Liftoff on a train and crossing the river - the scriptures are fulfilled!!!!!!

Now recall the difference of this death to JFRutherford.... He was a crazy old drunk who was forgotten out west. No funeral to speak of and little interest except where to bury the rotten old fart.

Personal secretary is a queer sort of title for Sturgeon and he was ready to spawn cavier for all to feed on from the pages of the Tower!!!

Did you see the point about a book being written by a sister - "The Golden Age"? Remember this was 1916 and the Golden Age mag didn't hit the streets till 1919!!!!

I couldn't believe the word "Qualify" either. It said see how you and your family "may qualitfy" to be in the paradise. Wow, such a positive approach for the worldlies. The image with the ? in the circle makes no sense - is it for the feet (the clay mix) or the rock that hits the image? Don't they proof read any of this by testing it out on regular non-JW? The picture on the front of the "immoral" situation is a real scream also - a guy at a bar with a drink and a hottie behind him on the prowl! The 3 dramas - on Friday a audio reading, Saturday a modern day, and Sunday - a full-custom old time drama. Let the good times roll - all are invited!!! Barf, barf.........

loading the language is a propogandist tactic to trigger a reaction in the mind.

a prime example is the word 'apostate'!.

i have been called 'spiritually weak' for quitting field service, meetings etc.. how would you respond (without swearing or giving a punch up the hooter), if you were called this?.
