OMG They are doing commercials now!?

i just finished watching martha stewart and after it went off there was a set of commercials before the news came on and i swear i just saw a commercial from the christian congregation of jehovahs' witnesses!.

it was about raising your children with knowledge and love.

it showed a teen girl on the internet in a chat room with a person who had become her best friend and wanted to meet her in person and they said something like if it seems too good to be true it is..'love builds happy familys' was the slogan or something.. .

my hubby is an ex-jw so i am keenly interested in the discussions.

my mother told me she recently caught the tail-end of a television commercial sponsored by jehovah's witnesses.

"New World Order" is a term borrowed from Masonic. It's not surprised the One-dollar note of US has the pyramid-symbol of Masonic similar to Watchtower symbol on the Charles Taze Russel's graveyard and most interesting, the Watchtower claimed themselves as "New World Order Society" (read Watchtower before 1964 you will see a lot of times this term appeared).

His Favourite TV series is "Simpson". Is he really a JW ? I thought "TV is a Satan box send to our lounge room" and "Do you willing to invite all criminals to your home?" as elders usually give talks abou it. And "Simpson", OMG. Even my 7yrs old daughter said "It's Satan's talk, Dad"

Elders misusing donations for "the Worldwide Work" in Oz

the december issue of "kingdom ministry" for australia carries this announcement:.

"as a reminder to the brothers handling the congregation accounts, donations placed in the boxes for the worldwide work are to be remitted monthly and should not be used for payment on a kingdom hall property loan or for any other congregation expense.".

"Why are the publishers sending all this money to Brooklyn [or wherever the Australian branch is], when we can't even pay our own damn mortgage?" Kinda makes me wonder... wouldn't it make more sense to have a single contribution box, and then let the local congs forward their surplus to the Society? A lot of congregations have a resolved monthly contribution to the WWW anyway. It would only make sense.
(And of course, I'm not saying it's right for the elders to cook the books, of course. It just seems that the current arrangement can be unfair sometimes.)

Nop !! You are not allow to "pick pocket" of "OUR" brothers in Brooklyn, they are our servants and need a lot of money in funny business. If your congr. send less, the spiritual health of your congr. has problem. Your congr may in debt with mortgage, but you still have to "keep kingdumb interest" as first priority.

UK to introduce identity cards

call me sceptical but this is just a scame to get money (id & passport = 77) and will be abused by the powers that be.

it will not help fight crime, terrorism or anything else.. why have fingerprint info on my card?

aren't the ones on the end of my fingers good enough?!

FBI has an out-of-date ID system, they want to sell it to Australian too. So when they can sold off, they will improve their new system with more details (DNA, eye, hair etc). Ough.
