When you were a dub.....did you ever fall asleep when you prayed in bed?
by gumby inwell i did .....all the time.
it always bothered me that i couldn't even stay awake to thank my god.
i found out later many did the same.

Your question is very interesting, for I always fall asleep at the middle of my prayer before and I did ask many closed friends about theirs(usually they express same behaviour). And now, after 4 years left WTS, I found out I never fall asleep as before. I realised that, now I don't have any CULT bothers my time anymore (meetings, working hard with field service, prepare for meetings , Kingdom Hall services, etc...). YES, I'm free from "undesrved" sleeping (borrow the "undeserved" from WTS). The Cults always make you "work more and sleep less" The result is whatever they said, you 're so tired then only accept them all, a kind of brainwash. How many time at night meetings, you feel hate towards brothers and sisters give long comments ?

For me New American Stadard Bible and New Jerusalem Bible. I did double check sometimes with Revised Standard Version too. Good News Bible is the one I admire because it's simple but quite accurate (Eugene A. Nida behind this version, that's why).

YES, As long as the "Peacekeeper" like USA no longer produce arms (do you think they will give their arms' firms worker be laid-off?)
and all the big mouth "pacificists" like Watchtower Bible and Tract Society won't have shares in arms' companies

? about the United Nations and WTS
by toreador indoes anyone know if a letter from the wts has been sent to the congregations about their being a member of the un as an ngo?
or has it just been told to the elders and then the rank and file hear about it if they ask the elders?
i know the wts said it was to get a library card but i need to know if there was actually a public announcement to the congregations about it..

by Lady Lee ini recieved an email today and have been given permission to post the special request as follows:hi, everyone.
i have a friend whose mom is dying, and she was not able to get treatments to get her bone marrow to make red blood cells.
a nurse went to bat for her against the bureaucracy, to get the mom her treatments without waiting for medicare to clear, and the daughter is certain that this is saving her mom's life.

Have you watched "Pirates of the Carribean" yet?
by Eyebrow2 inawesome movie...i am not that much of a johnny depp fan but he was absolutely brilliant in this...but his wonderful acting is not required to carry the whole movie.
it is extremely entertaining, and the special effects are excellent.. i was just wondering if anyone else had a chance to see it?
i hardly go to the theater any more (too many kids!!!

So I better watch John Depp in "Chocolate" ? Yeh ? There is no pirate, no ghost in this incredible film. I love to watch it over and over again. Especially, whenever I watch it, I always recall about my D.O.. HaHaHa.
