It's OK Lurkers, Paranoid former JW's, and even you current JW's....
by AllTimeJeff init's ok.... to post here on the internet, on jwn, and other jw related forums.. first of all, as we all know, the governing body doesn't provide a forum for jw's to "associate" with their brothers and sisters.
i'm just guessing, and i could be wrong, that its harder to control the flock when they have free access to information and each other.
damn electricity and the technology it brings..... anyway, i realize that for anyone leaving, or for practicing jw's, to post is a nervous thing.

by MsDucky ini just found out that i have breast cancer on thursday (see topic http://www.jehovahs-witness.net/watchtower/medical/190249/1/i-was-in-the-hospital ).
my sister has breast cancer too.
she has had it longer than me.

For OUTLAW: About The Extra Dollar

it was posted that the clerk told the three guys they could get a room for 30 dollars a night.
they each gave him 10 dollars.

Asked a co-worker to join Egg and me for my BD dinner...
by White Dove inhe's a guy and upon request, he gave me his e-mail address so he could give me a yes or a no to my invitation to join us tonight for dinner.. after i asked him if he'd like to join us, he snickered and said i don't know.
give me a couple of hours to think about it.
i asked him four hours later if he had decided, yet, but he hadn't even thought about it yet.. i said that it's not a test question, no right or wrong answer.. he asked where and i said it's a nice place uptown.. he said that he needed to think about it because of the dress up thing.. i said he didn't need to dress up, that just slacks and a nice shirt would do.. that was two days ago, and i haven't heard back from him, yet, although i did e-mail him so he could let me know.. i'm the wheels for the evening, so i needed to know so i could pick him up, or not.. does no answer (seems like avoidance) mean no, or is there some other excuse that might (wanna say rescue his ass but won't say it) be plausible?.

another family destroyed by jehovahs happy organization
by Evidently Apostate inas i sit down and type this i have realized that if i could have seen into the future and known that this post would need to be created (for my own peace of mind anyway) i know i would have never given the jws a minute of my time.
a little background: i have been a jw for 20 years and found a wonderful woman in the religion she was a pioneer when i met her, an elders girl but that did not matter to me , it was and always has been her compassion and love for people that endeared me to her and we have been happily married for almost my 20 year tenure as a jw.
we have several children one of them is a teenage boy.

At the very least, I'm happy for you, that you've been able to keep your own family together. On the other hand, it is heartbreaking to see your nieces being treated so unjustly. It's even worse that the people treating them this way (her own parents!) truly believe that they are doing what is right instead of seeing it for the hateful, evil spite it really is. It must especially hurt to have your helping hand slapped away by the one niece who needs your help the most. I can understand, to a certain point, her suspicion and paranoia. I hope for her sake she doesn't spiral downward into a horribly self destructive pattern that she would end up regretting for the rest of her life.
