see my dad is dfd.
hes been dfd all my life.
he got dfd a year before i was born.
So sorry, lil lady. I highly doubt you deserverved any of it at all. I will agree with you and others about this smacking of outrageous hypocrisy. Maybe I'd better not be so keen on meeting other XJWs in my area. Goodness knows how much BOrg influence might be left floating around inside their skulls.

lately, i have seen demonstrations and interviews on stage of guys who are bragging about how they incorporate dressing up in costume and reinacting bible accounts for their family worship night.. .
family worship evening: serious business.
this kind of bafoonary and other assorted silliness is encouraged to make family worship "fun and enjoyable".
LARPing with JWs! Yeah. Just the way *I* would want to spend a Saturday afternoon...

this is what the guest speaker was saying at my wife's hall yesterday.
she and i was babysitting our niece and since she had three kids going to the hall with her (including my two daughters) i figured i'd go with her to help out.
they were rambuctious and wild to say the least.. while i was in the hallway with my youngest daughter, i continued to listen to the speaker talk.
A little more about "faith" and "works"...
In 1 Corinthians 13:1-3, the message is quite clear; if you perform "works" without LOVE, they are utterly worthless. I'd say that this ties in nicely with James 2:16 in that if you just send someone away with only verbal "encouragement" but without actually helping them, it betrays an utter lack of love. And in 1 Corinthians 13:13 (NWT) it says: "Now, however, there remain faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love."
When it comes right down to it, this is what JWs are singularly the most guilty of as a group; they are overall lacking in love. Faith is worthless without it! Of course it's a systemic problem stemming from the leadership of a psychopathic group of old men who call themselves the Governing Body. They are the most lacking in love and compassion of anyone in the BOrg. It all comes from the top! It's little wonder that young people are being coerced into baptism, when they and their parents are surrounded with the lovelessness of a JW congregation...

i ran into a father and his 10 yr old jw daugther .
i asked for the mag's and started anti= witnessing.
i'm guessing the man was about 40 yrs old and ask him how long he's been a member of the wts.?
brizzzy:
...I can't see how telling JWs (especially children) that they're agents of Satan is effective. Seems to me it just reinforces their negative beliefs about "apostates". You may have had some good, rational points before that, but the Satan thing just undermined it all, IMHO.
I agree with you there, Briz. It's one thing to try to get someone to think; it's another thing to insult them. When you confront people with tactless, insulting and inflammatory language, you shut their thinking off (the ol' persecution complex rears its ugly head). That's a fact! When JYD mentioned the Satan thing, everything he did turned into complete fail. There was no win here, IMO.

Vampires can already live for a very long time if not forever...
Folks would be better off seeking the likes of me for that. Mwuhahahahahahaha!

hey everyone,.
i have been getting in on going debates with brothers in the congregation about the role of the governing body.
i feel that jehovah would not want us to blindly follow a particular g.b.
today i received a visit from 2 elders.
it was the first contact i've had with them sinced i've stopped going out in service or attending the meetings after the 2010 dc in june.
i opened the door without inviting them in despite the cold weather.
It's hard enough when you're living on your own and JWs stop by unannounced. It must be so much worse when one of "them" is living with you. It's rather crazy making. Hang tight man...
