fbi and santa barbara agents arrested michael at the airport.

he is locked up in santa barbara county jail.

Hi Tylinbrando, I understand how prosecutors do not want to jepordize their case against Norris, however the OpEd to the news media could be written as just a tip of the iceberg expose of missdeeds done by the WTBTS in which Norris is just a footnote.

I'm thinking of more long term such as class action lawsuits against the WTBTS or building support for writing to US Congressional representives to modify the US tax code to require that all tax exempt organizations must meet some type of societal expectation besides some organizations declaring that they are a religion to avoid paying taxes.

Conversation Baiting

i assume most of us here participate in other discussion forums of various genres.

on those forums, where there may be jw participants, what would be some thread topic ideas for baiting them into a conversation, for the purpose of asking them questions that might help wake them up?.

i realize that's a pretty broad question.

Does anyone remember from their science classes how mountains erode to hills because of small amounts of wind, rain, and ice over time? The same is true of large, wealthy corporations. A 1000 mile trip starts with one step.

It would only take about 10,000 people to write to their US Congressman and coordinate with other like minded groups to encourage Congress to change tax laws, especially with the current fiscal crisis in Washington. Anybody heard of Catholics United? Members of Catholics United are angry that Cardinal Mahony will be participating in the upcoming papal conclave, despite recent revelations of child sex abuse cover-ups that occurred under his tenure as leader of the archdiocese. Does this give anyone an idea?

Hi Terry, I have been wondering the same thing! Silence is Consent! And, too many exJWs (not all!) are only vocal on exJW forums.

If exJWs love JWs, why don't they help JWs? Contrary to what Sulla wrote. There are a lot of good people who have a Shun Gun pointed at their minds and feel helpless. I feel that JWs have a lot more power than they believe. JWs just need to be shown how to use their power.

Hi Tylinbrando, Since the mainstream media has not covered the story about Former Elder Michael J Norris, what has he allegedly done?

Would it help if a one-page OpEd was sent to LA Times reporters and editors that outlined how the WTBTS protects pedophiles and victimizes the molestation victims to protect the image of the Watchtower and using Micheal J. Norris as a local example. Would it help to contact Candace Conti's attorney Rick Simons: Office - 510-582-1080 Ext. 19; [email protected] to help provide additional information for the LA Times and may be contact victims of Micheal J. Norris? Would it help to contact cedars and ask him for a copy of the Watchtower's October 2013 (I think) BOE letter that discloses the Watchtower's current policies about protecting pedophiles and the Watchtower's copyright infringement letter to remove the BOE letter from cedars website?

Since SB is near LA, have you contacted any of the following reporters from the LA Times (to list a few) that have written about priest pedophilas in the last month and are collected on a LA Times webpage Priest abuse scandal:

If the D2D work is so important, why haven't any JWs knocked on my door for a couple of years? D2D work keeps JWs busy so that they don't do more important activities like research the WTBTS, work earning more money, or just having fun with unconditional friends.

Confrontation of the city bus with witness

i want to share with you an experience i had last night.

i was on my way to a vday date, hopped on the bus to get me there, and in front of me is a man folding tracts.

they say something about an end to suffering with a delusional paradise illustration.. so, he hands one to the woman in the row next to him, and tries to hand one back to me.

Hope I planted a seed to my kid why it's not the Truth..

my wife took my kids to a special talk last night and i had no clue.

i came home from work at 9pm and no one was home.

i misplaced my house key so luckily they pulled in the drive way only minutes after me.

Hi marriedtoajw, Showing undconditional love to your son, asking him simple questions about how he feels about what the WTBTS promotes, and encouraging him to independently research the WTBTS are some of the best ways to plant seeds of doubts in a child's mind. Also, it helps to encourage your son to go on play dates and sleep overs with non-JWs, who you like and feel will not get your son into too much trouble.
