due to the fact there are about 27,000 members of this religion that are known pedophiles, and the information about it is kept in a secret database file, i wonder how many lurking jw's as well as others are aware of the severity of this problem?

Isn't it so very strange, if you have questions and doubt about the 'society', you will be vilafied and cast out to eternal damnation for your 'evil' ways!!

Actually I'm interested in Theology studies also. Not quite sure why though. There is a nagging little feeling in the back of my mind that I would be disappointed.

I hate the way 'those at the top' systematically & ruthlessly, bend the minds of their victims for their own ends!
They use up the gullible, so there are no dreams or individual thought left. And then they skip out. Skip out by pointing somewhere else when their foolish foretellings fail ....oh no, it's not their fault! Your fault, gods fault ... but certainly not the fault of the great leaders of the stupid watchtower! They skip out by taking Christ as Mediator all to themselves .... not yours anymore....you're left in the lurch, it's just for them.
Heaven is just for them. Christ's body & blood is just for them, which means salvation is - just - for - them!

starting on pg.22 in the jan.15th it deals with " coping with discouragement ".
it seems lots of jw's are under intense stress these days ( can you blame them ?

When I was working full time to keep a roof over my head, those nuts almost drove me over the edge. So much pressure to get to meetings, 'cause surely I could try harder! (after commuting for an hour, I got home by 7:00 - guess I could just skip supper & change my clothes at the hall!)
So when the guilt got too much, yes I could. But that was just not sustainable over the long term without a collapse!
Then when I made extreme efforts(usually sick as a dog!) to get to the meetings they said, "no sense in coming to meetings if you're not going to go out in service!"
No matter what, you were wrong and needed to do MORE always MORE.
And never offer a helping hand either (that's your problem) or a 1.00 for a burger if you were starving!
Funny thing, in my life I had panic attack episodes only twice. Once when I was being sucked into this cult, and once when I tried to escape!

if the watchtower discourages the study of biblical languages, then why did they publish twice, in 1969 and 1985. the kingdom interlinear translation of the greek scriptures?.
would this not actually encourage the study of the greek language?.

Oddly, I only just got it lately, that the Jesus that I used to preach about....is not the same as the apostles preached.
Or that the "good news of the kingdom" was not that Christ started to Rule in 1914 or living in paradise for a 1000yrs!

2 Corinthians 11:3-4 ,,"if someone comes and preaches a Jesus other than the one we preached, or you recieve a spirit other than what you received, or good news other than what you accepted, you easily put up with him."
Also, JW's preach another Jesus, that He is Michael the ArchAngel!
"There is no salvation in anyone else, for there is not another name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must get saved."(Jesus) Acts4:12.
Yet the Watchtower magazine increasingly preaches death unless we follow the Governing Body! Instead of Jesus only, it would look like this.......
