during these years i worked from financial department, service department, home office and different it assignments.
as you can imagine one sees and hears and reads a lot of stuff going through different stations in different countries.

As a female R&F ... I was basically a zero in this society.
Fifty years ... a zero! Hah!
With every build-up and let-down, a part of me ... knew.
1975 loomed ahead ....my longing for a safe world for my
children, hung on that '75 promise!
The lifetimes & life blood that these sods have wasted,
have piled up from one end of the earth to the other!
Those Queens of Brooklyn, those who would be Kings...may see a zero,
but they highly underestimate ME!

English Speaking Congregations in Mexico...
by DATA-DOG inhas anyone read a letter or heard of english-speaking congos being shut down in mexico?
an elder told me that this was happening, and that it was based on a "scriptural precedent.
" sounds like downsizing with a made-up bs reason to me.

Thanksgiving?
by freeflyingfaerie inhere in the u.s. of a., come one week from today, families will come together to feast in celebration of the day in 1621 when pilgrims and native americans shared feasting for three days... ...and then the natives were slaughtered and driven out of the lands in the coming years.
i wondered if native americans themselves celebrate thanksgiving... (interesting findings out there).
cast your votes as to whether or not i'm a freakazoid for not celebrating it!

Must be hard for 'born in's' to really get the holiday celebrations!
Without the sense of being familiar with the feeling of the day ...
it would be like speaking without being able to hear...
Start your own family rituals, and soon you will really look
forward to the enjoyment of them. Humans need ritual to
break-up the stretches of time ..I think!
