is it really sharing in their wicked ways to bid people well wishes on their holiday?
i mean, i'm not doing christmas myself, but if they want to have it, what's wrong with saying "enjoy!".
witnesses extend best wishes to newlywed pagans all of the time, even though they know that the marriage is a godless, heathen, false-worship-filled union of sex-driven materialistic people.
Deus ...hi there welcome to a great place &
Merry Christmas to you!

having been out 5 yrs.
& attending numerous christmas parties & family get togethers, i can't tell you how disappointed i am.
i was led to believe wild debauchery, drinking & fighting was the norm.
Mr Quick ...haha too funny, most of us wouldn't
know the meaning of debauched...never mind doing it!
>
Look... don't drink too much today, it is bad for your liver.
As soon as I can think up something a naughty apostate
can do ...I'll let you know. Meanwhile, have a wonderful
festive time and best wishes for a great New Year!

i know that just recently they've made billions by cashing in their real estate from brooklyn.
i also saw somewhere that only the uk branch, in a year, made 16 million pounds in profit with their stock portofolio.
my cousin worked personally for a guy in italy, who was involved in the mafia , and was a jw, and apparently he donated at a single convention more than 1 million euros(probably as a way to wash his sins).
Millions ...but it is evidently still not enough!
i don't know about the rest of you more seasoned posters here, but i believe jwd is really becoming a welcoming haven for people leaving the jehovah's witnesses , and we are really seeing some great quality posters among newbies coming on the board.
so, i just want to say to all of you who have joined the last few months , we love your input , you have great takes , and keep your thoughts coming !
Hi flipper ...hey you do a hella fantastic Newbie Thread!!!!

You do have time on your side now. Destruction
at armageddon is not going to happen and the only power
those elders or gov body have .....is what you give them! LOL
With 2 children & a great husband ...that is where your energies
need to go.

So slowly research any teachings or beliefs that still worry you,
until any self doubt or fear, goes entirely away.
Ask your husband questions about them, he needs to sort it out too.

We are here to help... looking forward to your posts.

awesome is a loaded word.
we may think it relates to something flashy and expensive and elaborate.
or we may think of something else.. for those of us who are out or coming out, awake, or waking up, choosing to celebrate can be very symbolic of how far we have come.
Really love your pictures ...next year will be the
YEAR of the TREE!

am reading coc at the moment, about half way through.
just finished reading some of the details of what happened in malawi and mexico years ago.
which reminded me that in the early 80's a very well known elder in the country i was then living in went to new york as he had discovered all the discrepencies between what had happened in malawi and in mexico and wanted to know what the gb had to say about it.
Cantleave said "I recalled the letter writing to the authorities in Malawi in the 1970's but was not at all cognizant of the situation in Mexico. Ray's book really opened my eyes on this one too."
>
Me too! The book shocked the heck out of me ...Never realized
until I read it ....that there was a GOVERNING BODY btw us & christ!
That was late December 2009 ...how dumb was I. ggrrrrrrr boy was
I mad!

whenever a newbie signs on...my heart skips a beat.
i wonder if it might be my son?
my daughter?
Now here are stats for newbies that Likeabird recorded,
>
"I managed to do 25 pages and now have 500 members entered. I did a little chart on paper for these guys alone and I've got members for every month since September 2000 except except 18. Not bad out of 150 months. Let's see how it goes - I've got plenty of other stuff I should be getting on with.
Oh, and HereI had this idea to start a thread called ''s a let's introduce ourselves to the newbies thread'just to give the newbies an idea of who we all are in a few lines. What do you think?
And to finish, I'm very pleased to introduce you to...AMO...he might be wanting a little welcome too...
A splendid day to you Clarity and all you newbies and everyone else (of course)!
Likeabird"

I do like this idea that Likeabird has ...maybe Likeabird
