Hi Pams girl.........I'm just as excited as you, and have been slowly being preparing for it over the last few weeks.
I don't go over board on the present side of it but I make our home as festive as it can look and try to invite as many friends and family to be together.
Good food, good wine, great company which gives long lasting memories something to hold on too and look back on with love. This is so different to the memories I had growing up as a witness.
I've always loved the American Thanksgiving day the meaning of it and all the family together, So here in the UK I've decided to have my own Thanksgiving day and give thanks for finding out that the organization is a lie and celebrate in style.
I'm going to bake a big ex JW birthday cake complete with candles for each year I've been an apostate.
I'm going to get my friends to send me happy apostate cards.
In the UK on the 5th of November we have guy fawkes night with bonfires and fire works so on my Thanksgiving apostate day I will be also having fireworks and burning the odd watchtower or two (if they burn).
I will be wearing low cut tops and tight trousers and drinking as much as I like
And everyone is welcome there will be only one rule of apostate law NO Shunning Allowed.

is this site dominated by americans and canadians ?
by the max inim new to this forum, most topics up for discussion are usa centric, and thus for us euro,s are boring, like whats on your tv chanels, wtf, who cares what your watching on tv,i dont come here to listen to that, either promote something intresting, or shut the hell up .

Hi Max, I think it was my thread you were referring to and the reason I asked what other people liked to watch on TV, was .....I'm British and even though I like some of our TV programs, I also like a lot of American TV..... I loved ER and CSI and law and order etc.
All I was doing was asking what other people liked to watch what ever country they come from.........We all have things we like and dislike and I respect everyone's opinion whether I agree with them or not it's called being an individual which is something we become when we are no longer a JW.
To become an individual was not an easy transgression for me I felt guilty for having my own thought's and not thinking as a collective. It was an innocent question that was all.
But you did not upset me or offend me and welcome Max I just thought you were owed an explanation.
