  Hi welcome back..... I do not often say anything on here, but I'm on this site every day and read everyone's posts............... I love the fact that we are are all different and I do not always agree with everyone's views but still love them for it..........somthing the JW'S NEVER taught me....... to love everyone Werther they agreed with you or not....... As A witless I had to only love people that had the same views, mindset, thinking, entertainment values, etc, etc.

  This site has kept me from going under and move forward in life and I owe that to everyone.

  Did You Ever Fink On Another Witness?

  did you ever tell the elders that you knew of "wrongdoing" or that you knew a certain person wasn't adhering to the rules?.

  I haven't told on anyone, but I know my brother has... My brother worked for an elder and worked very hard out in all weathers window cleaning. The elders window cleaning round was very large and used younger brothers to help him out.

  My brother worked for him for a number of weeks and this elder refused to pay him, this went on for a number of months in the end my brother told him to stuff his job and told on him to the other elders, he told more than one so it was not covered up...........When my brother was telling me this I thought he was on about refusing to pay him.........but no this elder kept a Hugh supply of porno mags in the back of his van....Perhaps thats were my brother's wages went.

  What made you leave?? What were your core reasons?

  hi there, i am pretty new to this forum, this absolutely wonderful forum and i just wanted to know what made you all leave?

  what were your positions, responsibilities and at what point did you know you had to leave?

  and are there any persons here from ontario, canada?.

  Hi and welcome safrieblu64,

  I was also a pioneer here in the uk, and I believed at the time I was doing the right thing, I was showing Jehovah that I loved and believed in him by going round the door's full time, attending all the meetings etc..

  But why when I was serving god did I feel so unhappy. Then I started to think for myself (which is never encouraged), and with the help of this site and everyone that post on here, I realized that I was following the watchtower's beliefs without question whether it was right or wrong.

  I like you and we wont be the last feel that I have wasted 25 years of my life. Taking one step at a time everyday is a new begging I'm not saying that everyday is easy, it's like starting to walk all over again, sometimes we fall and stumble, and sometimes we try to walk to fast.

  remember this you don't have to walk on your own everyone on here has something to offer and if you need a hand to hold now and again, I'm only a few words away, I have felt the guilt like you do and know that at times it is hard.

  Finally dared to register

  being a lurker for quite some months, i convinced myself it is time to give my own 2 pence from time to time.

  i am living in europe and i am still 'in', although by now i must be counted as an inactive jw.

  WELCOME..... HI I'm an ex JW sister from the UK. I just wanted to say that it took a lot for me to join here, I realized after a while it was the years of JW brainwashing that made me feel so guilty of even reading the post's on here. I stuck with it because I'm an individual like everyone on here and we have the right to free thinking.

  Like you this site helped me and my family so much, I like all the individual free thinking people on here, some are very funny and some are very wise, but there is a life after JW's and this site has helped me to move forward and become a much happier person.

  As a JW, what did you do on Christmas Day?

  growing up a jw, we always had family from out of town visit or we would go visit family.

  it was fun to get together with my other jw cousins over christmas.

  (however, it was hell going back to school in january as the only girl without a new sweater).. as a married jw though it was a different story.

  I remember Christmas as a child in our home, my parents did a wonderful job of making it very special for us. Not just the 8ft tree and beautiful decorations, but we had a large extended family, and every Christmas they would come early Christmas morning and stay very late, they all helped with the dinner they would be about 25 of us sat round the table.

  The day was always full of fun and lots of laughter, I will always treasurer these times. Then I was 13 years old when my parents decided to study with the JW in October and you guessed it by December Christmas was canceled. No more family and friends get-togethers, we had nothing the TV was not allowed on we had sandwiches for dinner.

  Even when I left the JW's and had my own children I celebrated Christmas for them, but always felt very guilty so I only half hearted celebrated it, now though after lots of research and found that the truth is not the truth, this year Christmas is going to be a celebration of that discovery.

  Don't laugh but my new 8ft tree is already up and I have invited lots of friends around for Christmas day, and some neighbours who are on there own, to sit there around my table and not be judged by my friends will be a great feeling.

  Hi all ex-Jw in the uk, I live in Cornwall, I would love a meet up somewhere in the southwest, apart from this site which has been a great help, and I love not being a JW anymore, but I do sometimes feel like the only one. So yes a meet up would be great.

  WT Society's Sly Guilt & Fear Tactics on Young People in Nov.15th WT

  as many on this board are aware- the wt society is losing younger members in big numbers.

  statistics show that 2 out of 3 jw's raised in the cult leave between the age of 18 to 35. so like they always do- if the wt society sees a " need " or " problem " arising they address it in wt study articles.

  thus notice how manipulative the wt society uses fear, guilt, and put down type comments to intimidate young jehovah's witnesses in this wt study article in nov. 15th issue.. under the titled article " young ones - what will you do with your life ?

  I would just call it child abuse. No different to a pedophile grooming, same tactics used.

  Start by being nice showing concern, then getting the "youngs ones" to do what they want out of fear. Its all about control and the GB's needs not the "young ones"

  What I find most shocking is right at the end of the letter is the statement ........ in addition to your shepherding book please remember to bring your Bibles.

  It sounds almost like an after thought. Oh yes please bring your Bibles so we can try and find a scripture that proves the new light on the blood fractions is not made up. We need to do this so you can shepherd your flock with more control and Lie's.
