Danish movie on JW's : To verdener (Worlds apart)2008

Have your JW Relatives Explained about Generation/Overlap Change to You ?
by flipper inafter reading on the way out's thread about his mom explaining the generation overlap to him it kicked this idea into my head to make this thread .
i thought it would be helpful to see if anybody here has had jw relatives or friends try to explain this " generation overlap " theory to you as a faded or inactive witness and what happened in the conversations.
so please feel free to post your experiences.

The truth that you were taught, all but 10 years ago is now rubbish, and became unscriptural. Making previous teachings a lie. Jehovah would NEVER associate with anything or anyone perpetrating a lie.... I would go as far as saying that you are in Satans Counterfeit Kingdom which keeps transforming itself into a angel of light.... The very thing that you think you are running from.
Todays present truth is good only for today & the next, but it again will become a lie & an untruth. Truth is Truth and should stand the test of time.... You are wasting your entire life to this organisation. Trouble is, you are cleary sooo sucked in that you havent even once considered that the WBTS could be wrong! You havent even thought to question why sooo many are leaving the organisation to never go back... Including those from bethel..
Keep testing that you are in the REAL truth.... The God most high over all the earth will help you see things clearly, because I know in my heart of hearts the WBTS are not Jehovahs Channel of Communication.

The Faithful & discreet Slave are there to provide food at the proper time...
They havent & instead they have dished up Dog food in that they have continually had to change the very core teachings of the WBTS organisation. Prophesy after Prophesy has been written about in the WT and each time what has been written has failed to come true. Each time this happens the WBTS suddenly states we have got new light and changes everything all over again! If we were in the very last days (as we are so meant to be), then dont you think that Jehovah would have made sure that the WBTS had got the very core teachings right ????
What happened to:
The King of the North? JW's had so much interest in this but now its never mentioned in the WT....
What about whenever they are crying True peace and Security - The international cry of Peace & Security was in 1986 ... Again no WT comments just continued speculation...
The 1914 Article that stated Millions Living Will Never Die.... It should have read Millions Living Now Will All Die...
All of the failed prophesies that the WBTS have made, makes them clearly the False Prophet. Blind Leading the Blind. Jesus Warned against these. Unfortunately you sit there week after week and have become brainwashed by WBTS teachings. Jesus said that many would say lord lord did we not prophesy in your name, and Jesus would say get away from me you workers of lawlessness.
Since everyone in the KH sits there like nodding dogs you have no ability left to question what you hear. You accept it as Fact !!!! In fact if you were toquery / question anytyhing then you would immediately be called apostate. They would belittle you inferring that you are a babe who hasnt gotten off the milk onto the solid food because you are questioning the elementary things!!! You need to sit up and become a true borean and research and question everything. To start with use all the Old WT articles, that way you wont think you are being hood winked by Satan ! Unfortunately the WBTS doesnt want you to do this because if you did you would actually wake up and find out the real Truth....
I pray one day that you wake up and realise that you are in a CULT.
By the Way I care for nothing that my grammer is wrong. Nor care that what Ive written is incorrectly punctuated. All I care about is that the content of what I have written is listened to and not brushed under the carpet, and filed in the bin.
I lost 21 years to JW's / WTBS, my husband 43 years. I truly hope you wake up soon and realise that you have been lied to year in year out.

Sex before marriage. feeling guilty

i could just hang out with her and not have sex but she has not been in a relationship in a year and shes pretty horny.
im a normal dude so i dont want to refuse her.. i cant decide if im rationalizing my feelings.

I had sex before I was married & was sooo guilty that because of the June 15th 1991 WT article me & my newish wed husband went to the elders to confess. (Thats what the article told us to do so being very conscious of our spiritual need we told them and got silently reproved)... I was totally screwed up for a good ten years believing I had sinned against the holy spirity. It took away my love of life and totally consumed everything I said and did because of the inner hate that I felt of myself. Now I look back and cant believe that I let an organisation allow me to feel so bad about myself. I simply cant believe how screwed up I was and how it took so long for me to come to terms with the situation....
Another 10 years have passed now and I escape JWdom only last year 2009. I cant believe how free I feel from all of their teachings.... I can only tell you to read the book Crisis of Conscience by Ray Franz and to totally free yourself from all the indocrination cult rubbish that has filled your mind. It suffocated me for so many years & now once I learnt it was wrong I was immediately liberated and feel like I never have.
Me & my hubby are still together happily married & both out of JWdom. YAY
If this girl is your love of your life & you share everything. Know what each other are thinking & cant bare to be apart then this girl is the one for you. Set up house & home and become totally free together....

What percentage of JWs have been disfellowshipped?
by JWoods ini was just thinking about people i knew - and i come up with around 15% who were disfellowshipped.
some got re-instated, some left for good, i even know a few who were disfellowshipped more than once.
it may be even higher than that - certainly it is pretty common in jwland.. i know that other religions have a theoretical state of disfellowshipping - the catholics have excommunication, for example.

Wow thats a lot disfellowshipped ! Wonder what the figure is for the faded, as im 1 of my immediate family of 6 that have all ditched the so called Truth last year. ~As well as us Ive managed to take down a few other JWs with me too (another family of 5 plus another family of 6). Wow my efforts to get those out of the organisation is better than it was getting them in !!!!
I want a medal :)
Anyone got actual figures on us sleepers / faders ??? There has to be more of us that have escaped & slipped under the radar :0

Really feel for you. However hard it is, you need to forget about them. They have made their bed & now they need to sleep in it. Wash your hands of them as they have of you.
Draw close to those that have genuine feelings for you & never forget that they are the ones in the wrong for shunning you.

I doubt you & other congregation members even realise that the Generation Teaching - Matthew 24:34, has even been changed again this year. The life of an Anointed overlaps with a child born today (who doesnt yet realise he is of the anointed), since their lives overlap the generation that they are both in, means that Armaggedon according to the WBTS has been moved another 100 plus years away again. When that newborn baby grows up and he is 80, his life can again overlap with another newborn pushing it again 100 years into the future and so on & on & on....
You say that you all speak in agreement and are not divided. Some realise the change others dont understand the change -I dont think you can call this being fitly united in the same mind & same line of thought because most of you do not even understand what your very core teachings are any more !
Lots of other JW's have realised this fact & that is why they are walking away in their droves, from congregations & Bethel itself !!!!

Why have you not checked the history of the JW's ? ie: Why would Jehovah select Charles Taze Russell from amongst other men to be his chosen one when he was living such a debauch life?

Old prophesies were the TRUTH in their day, but suddenly when it suits the Faithful & Discreet Slave they get new light - yet they are meant to be providing food at the proper time derived from divine origins and yet even in the so called last days they keep changing so called truths/teachings. Truth is Truth & shouldnt be subject to change... this would mean JW teachings that they said were right have become a lie....

Me, my hubby & 4 x kids faded October 2009. We enjoyed silence for a good 6 months, but now they keep coming to our door once a month. Now they seem to be upping their campaign to get us to come back to the meetings & have now been here twice in a fortnight.... Aaargh.
Think were at the point of wanting to be disfellowshipped, at least that way they will leave us alone... this would bring problems though with remaining in contact with the JW father-in-law. Not that were bothered either way now, he & the family are such a boring, lifeless lot, that we would happily be shunned by the rest of them.... (Hubbys brother is a devout JW who already has nothing to do with us !)...
Just wish the JW's would stop calling now - Were fed up of hiding !!!
