  There is just No Way that happened.... SICK SICK SICK

  there are many times when i'd think did the wbts they just make that up, so that they could print it within their article or did that happen they for real !

  doctor was very impressed that we had discussed this.”

  AS IF !!!! There is no way that a doctor would just randomly ask if they had discussed safety with their son regarding private parts of the body...... If he did, surely there would be some behind the scenes reason for him to be wanting to ask such a question of them !!! .... She then goes on to say:

  The mother added: “The way in which these things are

  discussed in the book is perfect.” The chapter she was

  referring to is entitled “How Jesus Was Protected.” It describes

  how Jesus’ heavenly Father protected his Son

  from being hurt by wicked King Herod when Jesus was

  too young to protect himself. (Matthew 2:7-23) The book

  then shows how even young children can be taught to

  protect themselves if someone tries to molest them.

  When this book first came out I was shocked by its content. I never once discussed any of this chapters contents with my children & most of my JW friends were of the same opinion. The sad thing is that I think any prospective molester within the organisation is unlikely to show any kid this kind of stuff, because they themselves want to remain hidden so as to carry out there depravity...

  I Need To Clarify One Thing (Christmas)

  if you happen to see me driving around mississippi, you may notice that my car is squatted down in the back.

  Last years Xmas was very low key... so last night we put up flashing blue light decorations around the outside of the house. Then we put a Star of David on the Front door thats wooden bearing holly & various fruits and glittery fern :) .... The whole house looks lovely... (Especially the 3ft Santa that has extendable legs to make him taller or fat and stumpy....)

  Won't the Elders be in for a shock when they come stop by !!!! Me & hubby really dont care now .... If the father-in-law hears off the vine then so be it, but we have to live our lives the way we want and if he wants to shut himself off like my husbands siblings then thats his problem....

  My life, so Im in my own driving seat, I make my own rules

  My Window cleaner is a JW!

  i've had the same window cleaner for 2 years.

  very cheap and does his job well.. the other week though i heard him whistling.... at first i thought my mind was playing tricks but no... he was whistling kingdom melodies!.

  ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  As a JW, what did you do on Christmas Day?

  growing up a jw, we always had family from out of town visit or we would go visit family.

  it was fun to get together with my other jw cousins over christmas.

  (however, it was hell going back to school in january as the only girl without a new sweater).. as a married jw though it was a different story.

  We did nothing special. Sat there bored senseless and would eat burgers & chips... Hated the fact that the shops were shut and that other Jo Ho families would have arranged to go to each others home to have a get together. Of course we were never invited as we had so many kids !!!!

  Are you suspicious of LURKERS?

  we all know they're here but we don't really know who they are.. they are people who sign up here and then never comment (or rarely ever do).. doesn't that make any of you regulars here at the very least a tiny bit suspicious?.

  why would a person sign up to a forum like this and then never say a damn thing?

  it seems to me that there is a primary reason why some folks sign up and then never comment on anything: to spy.

  Are You For Or Against The Death Penalty?

  i clearly am for it if it's proven without a doubt that a person murdered another in cold blood.

  recently, in connecticut, a man was convicted of killing 2 young girls and their mother.

  the animal raped them and almost killed the defenseless husband/father who could do nothing while these atrocities were being carried out in his own home!.

  On face value if somebody kills someone in cold blood then I would recommend the death penalty. If though it was a matter of self defense or because of being subjected to extreme violence then I would perhaps think differently....

  I dont comment a lot because much of the JW historys are out of my depth... I find it difficult to recall what we were taught even though it was only last year that I stopped going after 21 years ! I think it had much to do with the fact that I was always out in the foyer (where there were no speakers) and I was busy raising 4 small children all with 2 year age gaps......

  I post when I can, but then I mostly just absorb the rest so that I can digest it later to enable me to put all of the JW jigsaw together.... :)

  i really do appreciate all the help you guys have given me in this process.

  but it's time for me to leave.

  it was time for me to leave the wt (at least in my mind) when it became damaging to me.

  The Holiday Thread

  [i'm sure this thread comes up several times a year by us noobs but it's new for me.

  btw, i'm not advocating or opposing the celebration of holidays, just giving a perspective we've taken recently.].

  okay, so before we got df'd a few weeks back, we weren't sure if we were going to start celebrating holidays... for a few reasons:.

  We started our fade last October 2009. We made the decision to celebrate Xmas quite late, so whilst we rapidly bought Xmas presents for the children, they didnt have much chance to experience the proper build up of excitement for Xmas. We got a small tree & only dressed the inside of the house modestly (because we needed to remove them rapidly & run them upstairs when we had JW family visitors!)

  This year we are trying to build up the childrens expectations. It worries me that we can't spend much money on them this year, but hopefully they will be greatful for all things received! (Last year we spent way too much on Laptops, Xbox 360 live, mobiles, electric guitar, Ipod nano etc as a sort of apology for putting our 4 kids through years of rubbish ..... ) :0

  This year we will also decorate the outside of the house (this naturally will have repercussions & we will be disfellowshipped (bring it on) - Family are shunning us anyhow so its not going to make any difference :) We're going to have a proper Christmas Turkey dinner too & with any luck we might be able to reunited other family members who have long been disfellowshipped :)

  To get us into the mood we are going to an early Christmas Party down in Brighton with members from a different Forum - Im getting excited already :)

  Reinstated Males Serving as Ass'y Attendants

  at the circuit assembly this weekend i noticed two guys reinstated within the last year were both serving as attendants.

  i thought brothers had to be "exemplary" to do that kind of work.

  have the requirements changed?
