  the last days were about the destruction of jerusalem and the temple in the 1st centruy.

  the messiah was talking to those who asked the question , he replied tot hem and did not lie or mislead.he told them not us that soem would still be alive when he returned.

  they fully expected it andwere waiting.he did not lie .he cmae back for his chosen ones and took them back where they serve in the kingdom .most of the apocolyptic language used were symbolic metephors randt akenform the old testamant.

  i think that in our various discussions about life after the wt, we many times forget about the cornerstone of christian life - the resurrection.

  the implications of the existence a man who holds the power of life and death is manifold.

  it makes discussions about the existence of god obsolete.. for all of scientists' accomplishments they have never been able to make even one amobea come alive from non-life.

  the theory of major evolution is crap!

  Also the apostate's main goal is to achieve prominence and attention.

  They've been claiming that for as long as I can remember. When I was "in", I believed that all apostates were out starting their own churches so they could get their own following.

  JW's don't think anyone other than themselves are "Christian". You never see another church referred to as such in any of the publications, unless it's prefaced with "so-called". Otherwise, they're all referred to as churches of Christendom. So, this really isn't specific to Catholics.

  it seems that more often than not, when the watch tower society says something about biblical chronology, they're probably wrong.

  this seems to be the case even for uncontroversial matters!

  How much faith can really be put in Josephus' writings about history, in general? I know his more contemporary subjects are considered very valuable insights into first-century Judaism and Christianity, but he was also writing about things that happened several centuries distant to his lifetime. I can see the value as a sort of window into what first-century Jews thought about their own history, but how accurate has it really been found?
