  How do I cut off pioneering?

  i'm 19 and trying to get a job.

  my dad won't pay for my college if i don't pioneer.. if i get a job, i can't pioneer while in college.. i can supposedly work and study, but i need a good way to get rid of pioneering (it was never my idea in the first place - blame the parents with their social coercion).. if i stop pioneering, i will be told by my parents that i don't love jehovah (not that i care what they say).. how can i do this as painlessly as possible?.

  i want to move out someday and have enough money to do this.. by the way, if you read my started topics you will see my situation in more detail and that my dad is the coordinator of the boe..

  So your main issue seems to be with science then. Am I right in saying that? Again, I would encourage you to read more about the scientific method as I don't think you have a good grasp of it. That's not meant to be an insult. Just to continue with this discussion is more or less useless when you have closed your mind to science and it's methods.

  The problem about debating Evolution is you are arguing the process and you get into circular arguments.

  I agree. Circular arguments are tiring and unnecessary.

  It's like looking at how a car engine works and saying it made itself,

  Maybe you misunderstand the theory of evolution or haven't done enough research on it. No problems if you haven't, there is a lot of information to wade through.

  Not sure of this statement. I agree that the car engine had designers. No one is saying otherwise.

  Calling someone a Darwinist is pegging them down to their belief that we came from some kind of random survival of the fittest type process (despite the fact few of Darwins explanations have suvived they have been replaced by a multitude of apparently reasonable theories of how you can get from sludge to man in a billion years without intervention from another source)

  You do realize that science is a process of adding/building knowledge to previous knowledge. Should I call you a Russellite despite the fact few of Russells' explanations have survived they have been replaced by a multitude of apparently reasonable explanations?

  For me Darwinism fails because it uses time as a plaster to solve the problem that things (while adapting) basically still remain true to type from current observation from the world around us.

  Not sure of the scripture inclusion here. Is this your evidence for intelligent design? If so, how can I trust this statement? Who wrote this statement? Did they observe God creating these great creatures? Did God tell the writer to pen this?

  well, i know its a bit self-serving since i allready posted this in jwfacts thread http://www.jehovahs-witness.net/watchtower/bible/199939/1/watchtower-images-required, but i think its quite funny and things have been kind of serious around here for the past couple of weeks.. it seem to me that when jahs chanel have desided (im kidding, they has been told) the one and true god really hate christmas and will kill you in nasty ways if you go ahead and celebrate it, it provide a pretty compelling case for not celebrating christmas.

  but the governing body can make an even stronger case than that: not only will jesus cry and clice you up if you celebrate christmas, you will also have a really bad time.

  Xbox's weren't around then Birthdays were. Jesus knew his cousin was beheaded and murdered at a pagan birthday celebration. Jesus saw these celebrations and felt no need to do them, why would anyone do differently?

  You said: "why would anyone do differently?" Jesus didn't drink gin and tonic, why should anyone do differently?

  The point was, you don't know everything that Jesus did. Simple.

  Did Jesus wash his hands after his bowel movements? Did Jesus pick his nose? Did Jesus even say or do the things that are reported in the Bible?

  Funny. I had my first official Xmas gathering/party last year for the first time in my life (42 years old) and it didn't resemble that 'illustration' whatsoever.
