I'm sorry, but this thread makes me think of this song... Which is also my answer in lots of ways:
We come from the fire, living in the fire
We come from the fire
Go back to the fire, turn the world around
Go back to the fire, turn the world around
We come from the water, living in the water...
We come from the mountain, living on the mountain...
Oh, oh so is life
Ah, ha so is life
Oh, oh so is life
Ah, ha so is life
{Refrain}
Do you know who I am
Do I know who you are
See we one another clearly
Do we know who we are
Oh, oh so is life
Abatiwaha, so is life
Oh, oh so is life
Abatiwaha, so is life
Water make the river, river wash the mountain
Fire make the sunlight, turn the world around
Heart is of the river, body is the mountain
Spirit is the sunlight, turn the world around
We are of the spirit, truly of the spirit
Only can the spirit turn the world around -

A Thank You
by Libelle inhey all, i haven't been posting a whole lot, but i've been reading.
i wanted to send a thank you to the majority of posters on here.
before i started digging deeper into this - i hated jws, hated any and every one i came into contact with and that did indeed spill over onto my husband.. the more i read about jw people (not the org) on this site, the more i've seen the mentality that the people in the org are cared about.

Hey all, I haven't been posting a whole lot, but I've been reading. I wanted to send a thank you to the majority of posters on here. Before I started digging deeper into this - I hated JWs, hated any and every one I came into contact with and that did indeed spill over onto my husband.
The more I read about JW people (not the org) on this site, the more I've seen the mentality that the people in the org are cared about. That they're worth caring about, that it's not them that are the scum, but the higher ups in the org who lie and do all kinds of manipulation to get their cult running.
Now, admittedly, I'm not saying I'm going to befriend the people at The Mr's KH, BUT, it's helped me develop alot more empathy for those people. And I'm starting to look at The Mr. in a completely different light.
So thanks everyone. Thanks for your even-keeled and loving approach to the average JW member.

Oh Dan, I'm so sorry, your pain about this is palpable.
FWIW, and I don't know if this is any hope or not. The Mr and I have had the maybe we should separate talk a few times now (instigated by me, though, the non-JW, he has told me he will never be the instigator of us splitting - at least not directly), and we're still together. Maybe she was just in a place, in that moment, that it seemed it's time to end it. Give her time... It's possible she will come around.

You know, even though I don't post alot (since I never was a JW, sometimes I feel a little buttinsky), but I do care about the people here. We're all here for a reason, and many of us are coping with our various situations.

Homefront. It was only on for about 2-3 seasons, in the early 90's. Took place just after WWII. Awesome show... sigh.

Oh great. I love this. I have had a nice lull from "visits" with JW's lately... Now I'm sure Sister Herhusbands'LastName will just come up to me and greet me with a big hug and pretend we can be life long friends.
Great. I'm sure The Mr. will be thrilled about this.
Does that article have another page? The ending seems a bit abrupt.
