This is a timely topic for me as I'm working on a dissolution. He knows I'm leaving on account of the jw stuff. B.no infidelity to speak of. Somewhere down the road he will want to remarry. He is under the impression that I need to have a significant other first. That way even if its six years after our legal dissolution he can claim infidelity and spiritual divorce.... as if I cheated on him. Is this valid jww teaching or his own rationalization?

i think there are many that still want to believe in a god but just aren't sure.. personally, do you believe in a god?.

My beliefs are more naturalidtic bioregional pagan. That is I find value and sacredness in nature, but I don't really believe in an anthropomorphic set of deities. I'd like to but it alwats amiunts to what the culture who created it thought of thier experience of the world at their time. Best I can say is that the divine is more abstract than the bearded white guy in the sky.

Ubm here... or rather soon to be former-ubm here. I've coped by deciding that I won't live in a way that shows silence and tgerefire acceptance anymore... well that and he banned me from celebrations with my daughter... since then, this marriage was over. We were tigetger unmarried for 5 years. Tgen he converted and we married. That whole time j-god infiltrated and screwed him up. Sorry to hurt him, but I am done and want my kid to have at least a 50% normal life.

I have been finding that vibe alot. The Mr. is in construction, and is proud to be on the RBC, was considering getting a higher degree, but decided against it in part because the RBC already had enough engineers. I truly think they're feeling like they're gearing up to rebuild after armageddon.
But OMG the acting was horrific!! That girl, in the apartment right before the boy (who sooo should have been gay) had his breakdown, and her horrible delivery of the line convincing him to stay the night. BARFORAMA.
Life with kids changes many things. At first it can be very overwhelming, and naturally so, a little human who cannot do anything for her/himself must rely on others. As they get older and can do more for themselves it gets easier, but harder in a different way.

Me, when I meet someone for the first time, I offer to shake their hand. It used to be, when I worked construction, that was common, men are used to shaking men's hands, so they would be ok shaking mine, though some would offer that wet limp fish thing and I had no idea what to do with that. I work in a different field now, and I find that more men get surprised, or lost or flat out refuse to shake my hand upon meeting them. I find that very strange, particularly in a business setting. Do people really still think that men and women should not shake hands? What you all experienced that? Women, do you make it a point to shake a new acquaintance's hand? Men, do you shake a new female acquaintance's hand?
