BD, I"m so sorry. That frustration you wrote about at the beginning of your post, I've felt that, many a time.

Homefront. It was only on for about 2-3 seasons, in the early 90's. Took place just after WWII. Awesome show... sigh.

Oh great. I love this. I have had a nice lull from "visits" with JW's lately... Now I'm sure Sister Herhusbands'LastName will just come up to me and greet me with a big hug and pretend we can be life long friends.
Great. I'm sure The Mr. will be thrilled about this.
Does that article have another page? The ending seems a bit abrupt.

Sometimes women want more...
by FlyingHighNow init's a myth that men always have raging libidos and women are always saying no or want less sex.
just spreading the word.. and guys, if you find yourself on the low end of the libido scale, please don't make your gal think it's her fault.
that can destroy your relationship.. http://www.aolhealth.com/condition-center/mens-sexual-health/when-wives-want-more-sex-than-their-husbands?icid=main%7chtmlws-main-n%7cdl3%7csec1_lnk3%7c173917.

What if God's existence was PROVEN TO BE TRUE?
by nicolaou inthis isn't a 'prove god exists' thread, it's a 'what if' thread .
what if god's existence could be proven beyond any doubt?
what if god were to actually show himself so that nobody could doubt his existence?.

To believe that a 'deity' or 'intelligence' that "created" the universe" would be in any way, shape or form, physical or mental, like mere HUMANS, is just more insane human hubris.
Word, Zid!

See what he says about "unnatural" sex.
Well so far there's been only a slight limitation on that account. (he's still ok with oral, thankfully!)

why bother to pray?
by arimatthewdavies inalmost everyone has seen someone pray over the food at the dinner table, you know bless this food to our bodies and our bodies to your service, but tell the truth when was the last time god answered you?
ah like never?
so still we go on with the ritual of praying because some how its what god expects right?

I pray because it's a refocusing of my own energy into or onto something that I want to manifest - whether that's gratefulness to the animals/plants that died/ humans that worked to put food on my table, or to focus my own energy on something I need to personally sort out. An external corporeal god has little to do with it.

Along with Ziddinia's line of thinking, I have to say which concept of god? The divine within or the divine without, or the combination of divine within/without and all around us. I think god as a corporeal being is pretty limiting, however common it is. A more amorphous proof of the Divine would mean very very profound changes in the average person's spirituality.

Ok- I have an actual positive. Since The Mr became one, he's quit, um, taking matters into his own hands, as it were. And all his sexual energy has been focused on me. Which when I'm not irritated with his JWness, the focus has been great because I'm rather voracious in that dept.
