I do agree that calling the police doesnt always achieve anything. If ever Ive had to call them, I then feel terrified that the people concerned wil be back to make me pay. Its sad that it ever gets to the point when we have to feel terrorised in our own homes (isnt that a sign of the times!) so I am feeling a little more leniant towards you now Josephus....hope the move comes before the repercussions!

i had my neighbours beaten up last night!
by josephus inmy neighbours have been having a party for the last two weeks.
they are both drunks, and spend the day drinking with their mates outside my brothers apartment where i currently live.
i tried to stop them, but as they are convicted violent crims i was at a loss.. now instead of tolerating it i asked the local terrorists for help.

would it not be helpful to raise public awareness if the ex-jw community likewise had a *yearbook* including experiences of those who have overcome extraordinary obstacles while in the cult or because they were trying to leave the cult?
granted, everyone's story has it own merit, but if we had to narrow down the number of people to be profiled--who would you chose?

Thanks for your patience guys, I guessed this would have been posted already, Im always a few steps behind on here! To be honest after reading this stuff, I feel physically sick. How can they say that not having anything to do with me could be beneficial? what have I done so wrong? I really hope this doesnt affect my relationship with my parents which is better than it ever has been ........that would kill me.

Has anyone else heard of this or seen it? I know my parents are concerned about it. It sounds as though they are really gonna condemn any contact with disfellowhipped persons which will probably affect most of us on here with families still in the Borg. Nightmare. My dad brought it up to my boyfriend because altho he hasnt gone to meetings for almost three years, it wont be long until people realise he is with a DF person and worse still.....procreating! God forbid, I think dad was concerned first of all for his relationship with us daughters (me and sis are DF) and also his association with boyf (they are best mates!) Im gonna try and nick my dads and post the info unless someone has already done it in which case, let me know!

Sorry Josephus, Im not in agreement. your neighbours hadnt actually caused you any physical harm so why did you feel that you had any right to inflict any on them? I understand that they were being a nuisance but let me ask you this....are you sure you're not doing anything that may annoy them? If you are and they believe that this is the right way to act, prepare to have it inflicted back on you. If someone did this to a member of your family and then explained how they were being noisy and geting drunk, would you pat the guy on the back and thank him for teaching your family member a lesson? No, I didnt think so...I think you acted hastily on this one and I agree that it may come back to haunt you.
Frankly, Im disgusted that people see violence as the answer, is it any wonder the world is where it is? Are you really an ex-Jw Josephus who comes on here to post about what the JW's have done? Have a think about your actions and you may not seem so far away from them yourself...at least they have principles for the most part.
