ks10-e (official release), Letter from Bro. who scanned it! Newer version with BOE LTRs

while an earlier version was made available privately the time has come to 'progress'.. conscious class and ex both strongly adhere to not keeping things 'hidden' in regards to wts publications, talks and documents which are circulated in order to maintain it's position.. another wonderful poster (who has yet to give me permission to name) has 'reduced' and 'bookmarked' the first full copy link i was given by our 'winner'.. in this newest and final 'clean' copy link you find two other additions besides the reduction/bookmarking..... the brother who uploaded the entire book wishes all to have a copy that includes both boe ltrs (pre-ks ltr and spiral binding ltr).

also another development has occurred.... the brother responsible for this book being brought into light and put forth for public consumption and discussion has requested i post this letter explaining to 'us' (jwn posters/global audience) and 'them' (wts of penn & ny).. i ask you give attention to his words/ experiences as he is representative of a newly emerging demographic within the conscious class.

Brother Johnson- you spent your whole life serving Jehovah and making sacrifices for him as directed by the WTS. Now at the age of 75 you realize that it was not Jehovah but a man-made organization that you have been serving and making sacrifices for. And those idiots on the GB are comparing your entire life of faithfulness to the faithless Israelites whom Jehovah punished? The best revenge you can have on them, I think, is to do as you are doing- instructing the ones in your congregation as best you can and making available any and all "secret" information the WTS does not want the public to have.

I too feel I wasted my life as a JW. I hope you can feel some sense of satisfaction in knowing the PDF file of KS10-E will be a help to all of us.

I hope you can find some peace. I agree with all the fine comments everyone has been writing here.

Did you ever love to be in the Watchtower?

Ding- you bring out so many good points. Yes, there was a time I loved being "in the truth" for those reasons and I was proud of the huge one of a kind printing operation the WT has. At one time it was the 3rd largest printing company in the world. At one time the Brooklyn printery was the third largest printing plant in the world and the largest book binding plant in NY! Being a JW meant you were special and saved! You were one of the few privelidged ones!

I once truly believed that. I'd say for the first 7-9 years I felt that way.

then little by little reality began to appear and the happiness began fading away.

Comparing the old elder's handbook to the new...

as i've read through the new elder's book, something kept nagging at me about it.

then i went to compare one passage in the new book to the old and it hit me.

i've mentioned it on a couple of posts, but i wanted to start a thread on it.... what hit me was that the new book was like an instruction manual to supervisors in a plant.

i just checked and the jan.2011 issue of awake!

pdf is now up on the jw.org website.. i noted that it was printed in canada.

so i guess the canada branch must have gotten their new press and from now on will print the u.s. magazines there.. the average printing per issue went up to 39.9 million, an increase of more than 1.4 million per issue.

Was there any kind of announcement made in the congregations about this new arrangement for Canada printing magazines for the USA and about the new press for Canada?

It won't really surprise me if nothing was said about it in the congregations and most witnesses won't even notice it.

pdf is now up on the jw.org website.. i noted that it was printed in canada.

I just checked and the Jan.2011 issue of Awake! PDF is now up on the jw.org website.

I noted that it was printed in Canada. So I guess the Canada branch must have gotten their new press and from now on will print the U.S. magazines there.

The average printing per issue went up to 39.9 million, an increase of more than 1.4 million per issue. The printing for The Watchtower must have also gone up then. Have to wait until next Thursday to find out what it is.

The US branch probably printed over 270 million magazines then for the 2010 Service year. I guess for the first time in their history there are no issues of The Watchtower and Awake! being printed now in the USA. Canada's magazine production will go way up.

Does it really save money for the society to print the magazines in Canada instead of here in the USA? The Canada branch still has to ship the magazines here.

Thank you for these links mythbuster! It contains a wealth of information on the size of the WTEC. Before the additions WTEC has gross floor area of 1,941,256 Sq. Ft. The new additions would add 904,000 sq. ft.

Did anyone notice that annual literature production reported has grown from:

1980=books and bibles: 35 million ( 22 million in USA)

magazines:400 million ( 201 million in USA)

languages: over 200

2008 report

books and bibles=108.6 million (28 million in USA)

magazines and tracts combined: 1.3 Billion

languages: over 520

I'm very interested in getting similar info for the buildings at WT Farms including the printing plant. Does anyone have a link to that info? Thanks!!
