The Faithful and Discreet Slave - A JW Myth
by 00DAD inprobably this topic has been dealt with before, but i'm relatively new here, so perhaps y'all will be willing to indulge me in my pursuit for clarity.
regarding the anointed, the gb recently said this: .
"we thus have no way of knowing the exact number of anointed ones on earth; nor do we need to know.

Faith and the Bible
by tec infor those of us who must walk by sight (for now), there is nothing wrong with using the bible to help learn about christ and god... as long as ... you look to christ first and foremost and over anything else.
otherwise, i do not see the point in saying you follow christ or you are a christian.
he is the truth.

Hi Michelle,
Sometimes telling it like it is...is the most loving thing one can do. If the bridge is out, it just might be helpful to know about it.

Proof of God or Christ without a holy book
by Awen inin some previous posts i have asked certain questions that still haven't been answered.
so without going back to those threads and possibly de-railing them i thought it best to make a new topic.
please bear with me.. i have asked certain ones to prove the existence of god or christ without referencing any biblical writings or characters.

LOL....This thread reminds me of Descartes' problem. He could prove to himself that he existed ( Cogito ergo sum) , but he couldn't prove it to anyone else....i.e. he might have been part of someone elses' dream. Someone might have challenged him, "Prove you exist" and then I'll believe in you. Although he made the attempt, the fact is that Descartes had no such burden of proof.
Similarly, neither Yahweh nor His children have this kind of burden either. Only God can do the impossible. Besides such proof would not change/transform one life. Case in point: Yahweh proved Himself at the Red Sea and weeks later the King's kids were worshipping a golden calf.
But by grace, through faith, God will always, and without exception reveal/prove Himself to those who recognize their absolute spiritual poverty; those who mourn over their state and hunger and thirst after a righteousness which is alien to them, but not to Jesus Christ.

The GB Knew What They Were Doing
by compound complex ini believe that the governing body knew very well what would be the consequences of publishing the above article on apostates.
they carefully word every article, not only for the faithful, but for the unfaithful, and for those who have never believed our faith.
the above article and the comments here show me their great wisdom, because they have achieved exactly what they wanted.

<<Strengthening the persecution complex of the r&f, by deliberately causing the "persecution.">>
<<For some reason JWs believe that any outside criticism of their organization, for any reason, is Bible prophecy in action.>>
LOL; truth is often more hilarious than fiction.

by AK - Jeff insince leaving the organization 8 years ago, there have been more significant changes in the actual, physical activities of the organization than occurred in all the 40 plus years i was 'in'.
