  remember those pesky scriptures about 'put faith in jesus and you will be saved' & 'getting baptized without delay'?

  well, in this time of the end ™ we know better, and the latest march 2020 study edition wt sums it all up:.

  before you can get baptized, there are a few other things you need to do.

  Jehovah's Witnesses today would not baptise the Ethiopian minister of finance, a man wielding great political authority (Acts 8: 27)

  Neither would they baptise the likes of Cornelius no matter how many Watchtower books he read.

  Nor would they baptise anyone who rejected that something significant happened in October of 1914 or the spring of 1919.

  And actually they would not baptise you if you disagreed with any single current teaching eminating from the FDS in NY.

  How closely modern JWs mirror first century Christians.

  i appreciate all my friends who stop to read what i write and post.

  you help me more than you know simply by being there as a sense of 'family of friends' for me to talk to and 'share' thoughts with.i guess if i didn't have stories left to tell or people to listen, i could pack it in and join elon musk in a colony on mars.january 15, 2020. .

  which world is this?_________________when the doctor pulled my screaming body out of mom all those 7 decades ago, i landed in a post-wwii world.it was--compared to today's world--an alien planet.the world i live in today has nothing in common with the world in which i grew up.there were no cell phones back then--there were black telephones with a dial-tone and an operator who placed your call.everywhere you found telephone booths!

  1. the wts equated joining the ymca with apostasy but felt free to join the un for 10 years (1991-2001).

  LOOKING TO AN ORGANIZATION FOR SALVATION IS... IDOLATRY

  Watchtower 1990 11/1 p. 26 Our Relative Subjection to the Superior Authorities

  "As Christians, we face up to similar challenges today. We cannot take part in any modern version of idolatry—be it worshipful gestures toward an image or symbol or the imputing of salvation to a person or an organization."

  
  ...and yet the Watchtower Organization hypocritically also says ONE MUST COME TO THE WATCHTOWER ORGANIZATION FOR SALVATION

  Kingdom Ministry 11/1990 p. 1 Directing Bible Students to Jehovah’s Organization

  "Bible students need to get acquainted with the organization of the “one flock” Jesus spoke about at John 10:16. They must appreciate that identifying themselves with Jehovah’s organization is essential to their salvation. (Rev. 7:9, 10, 15) Therefore, we should start directing our Bible students to the organization as soon as a Bible study is established."

  Note: These two contradictory statements above are in the same month.

  hi , would someone help me please with some info about the nwt .

  during my study time l have been reading john 1:1-14 and colossians 1:15-17 .

  both these passages indicate that jesus was not created as the wt asserts .

  grant us peace______i was 12 years old.a jesuit (substitute teacher) entered my 6th grade classroom and beamed a handsome smile.. 1959 and this was music class.our actual teacher was unable to attend and sent her priest instead!how very odd.. i had never beheld an actual catholic priest before that moment, never had a human being with such a beautiful expression appeared.there is a word for it: numinous.. his name : michael.

  the archangel.. he seemed to open his arms to the classroom...to enfold us inside wings of a theatrical presence.. he spoke and we were instructed.the song was dona nobis pacem (grant us peace.

  confused with nowhere to turn

  i'm 43 and a divorced mother of 2. in january 2019 i met the man i thought i could spend the rest of my life with.

  we were happy and even though our relationship wasn't perfect (like all relationships) i thought we had a chance and were building a life together with our young kids.

  background on me - i've been divorced since 2012 after 12 years of marriage.

  Sorry for your plight...but there is nothing left for you to do but to move on. Regardless of what motivated him to return to his religion, the fact is he has left you and your children. Hopefully you will eventually meet someone, with a similar faith to your own to share your life with.
