Are the teachings of JW—consistent?
by Fisherman ini would belief so but if you can point something out, it can be discussed.. i don’t mean what jw taught in the past that they later realized was not correct and amended.
—unless you think and can show something like that is relevant.. i’ve spoken to a lot of believers from different religions.
i don’t want to bash any religion here under this topic but their beliefs are inconsistent and their reasons are sophistry and made up and grounded on circular reasoning.

I have struggled with this since I had a neighbor (a liberal Lutheran) who chose MAiD. We visited him days before his departure. We talked gospel with him but were not judgmental about his decision-making.
I don't think MAiD is the unforgivable sin. I think there are justifiable reasons to terminate one's life prematurely although they may be rare. Those jumping from twin-tower windows in NY to avoid the pain of the inescapable is one such example.I'm reminded of a movie I saw where a group of Americans were being chased by Amazonian tribesmen. Almost all escaped in a small boat to their ship. One was caught on the shore and the chief began slicing every inch of his body while he screamed in pain with every slice. From the ship, a fellow escapee picked up a rifle and shot his suffering friend in the head much to the wrath of the chief. The shooter was later tried for murder. I forgot how the trial ended, but I'm sure everyone watching the episode was relieved by the shooting -

Hi Waton,
Perhaps JWs in desperate need of a blood transfusion could be labeled suicidal, but I don't see Christ as suicidal. Examining His prayer in Gethsemane would suggest otherwise. Martyrdom would be a more fitting description.
