happy birthday 2 me!!.

sunday is my 76th birthday and i know that you want to know how it "feels" to have outlived my usefulness, to have lost my natural beauty (being reduced to wrinkles and flab), and constantly walking into a room not knowing why i'm there.

you also are curious as to how i can continue to find a reason to live since none of my kids think my opinions have any possible value, most of my facebooks friends i wouldn't recognize if i tripped over them on my way into starbucks, and my monthly expenditure on bird treats exceeds u.s. spending on the military.

My doctor got very upset with me after he told me to abstain from meat and I went ahead and had a liver transplant. 🙃

Watchtower acknowledges that blood transfusions are organ transplants.

The Bible makes it clear that it is sinful to transplant organs that contain billions of donor white blood cells....but since 1980 Jehovah Witnesses encourage disobedience to God's primary component laws.

i did not enjoy any of them nor was i impressed by anything that was conveyed.

I see that the effects of the organization in your situation are ongoing and inescapable. I suppose that is why you selected the "Hopeless1" moniker. As a Christian, I see Christ as the Hope of the Hopeless and like you do not view any religious organization as being the unique expression of God and His Christ. I believe Jesus saves and sanctifies independent of men who claim to be God's sole spokesmen on earth.

Have you read Crisis of Conscience or In Search of Christian Freedom? You mentioned the Rutherford era. A really good Watchtower apostate in my books, Meleti Vivlon, has dealt with this part of Watchtower history including the presidencies of Nathan Knorr and Fred Franz, through interviews with James Penton. Check these out if you have time and interest.

Just picked this up:

Deuteronomy 14:21 says: “You must not eat any animal that was found dead.”

Yet, Leviticus 11:40 reads: “He who eats any of its dead body will wash his garments, and he must be unclean until the evening.” Similarly, Leviticus 17:15, 16 says: “If anyone, whether a native or a foreigner, eats an animal found dead or one torn by a wild animal, he must then wash his garments and bathe in water and be unclean until the evening; then he will be clean. But if he does not wash them and does not bathe himself, he will answer for his error.”

Is there any contradiction or discrepancies here? No. The verses explain themselves in context. The first text repeats the prohibition against eating an animal found dead, perhaps one that was killed by wild beasts. (Exodus 22:31; Leviticus 22:8) The next two explains what an Israelite might have done if he violated that prohibition, possibly by accident.The fact that something was prohibited by the Law did not mean that the prohibition would not at some time be ignored. For example, there were laws against stealing, murder, bearing false witness, and so forth. At the same time, there were penalties for breaking those divinely given laws. Such penalties gave force to the laws and showed how serious they were

A person who transgressed the prohibition against eating the flesh of an animal found dead would be unclean in Jehovah’s eyes and would have to undergo the proper procedure for cleansing. If he failed to cleanse himself properly, he would have to “answer for his error.”—Leviticus 17:15, 16. Clearly, those verses are not giving permission to eat a dead animal. They are like the sign that says:

New light on secret knowledge, is from late Babylonian culture and is a Gnostic concept.

They need to stop using this as an excuse for getting it wrong the first time.

If what is being taught as truth changes; meaning it doesn’t hold the same viewpoint; and goes in the total opposite direction of the “new understanding” which is now the new “Truth”. This means what is being taught now as truth makes the previous thing being taught by default… a lie.”

“Because they can’t admit they are false prophets they have to say that God reveals things gradually that there’s a perpetual revelation of light getting brighter. True prophets of God got it right all the time. This is backed up in Deut 18:22. “

This is not spiritual food. It’s spiritual death. There’s so much more to the Bible and learning what’s inside of it without Watchtower publications. Jesus used the word of God not Watchtower publications. This is all his true followers need.

Free yourself from this boring enslavement to these men and this false corporation and high control group.

did they released selected figures at the annual meeting as they usually do, such as the memorial attendance or record number of pioneers?

This is the decrease in the rate of growth since 1995. These figures have been taken from Watchtower’s publications and website.

If the growth in JWs is declining and the apostate growth increasing all the time, this might answer your question.

It’s worth bearing in mind that every single JW publisher is recorded in their figures while not every apostate joins Reddit meaning the apostate growth rate is probably considerably larger.

so perhaps we all heard the jw story about jesus talking to gehenna and he was referring to a place outside the city where there was a dump burning refuse and everyone knew what it meant.. according to jw.org: tradition relates that the valley of hinnom thereafter became a place for the disposal of garbage.

and the bible provides confirmation for this.

at jeremiah 31:40, for example, the valley of hinnom is evidently called the “low plain of the carcasses and of the fatty ashes.” there was also the “gate of the ash-heaps,” a gate that seems to have opened out onto the eastern extremity of the valley of hinnom at its juncture with the kidron valley.—nehemiah 3:13, 14.. i think i heard that in the study of the greatest teacher book first.

As you know I accept the Bible as the word of God. I deal with every passage in both the Old and New Testament in my book that relates to temporary and final punishment of the wicked. You mentioned Lazarus and the Rich Man so I am attaching a video I published recently on that account.
