  i've noted before certain similarities between jws and independent fundamentalist baptists, such as door to door work.

  the ifbs call it "soul winning".

  the goal is usually to give a quick tour of a few bible verses, get the householder to "repeat after me" a formulaic prayer confessing faith in jesus.

  According to the Watchtower gospel neither faith nor works are needed to be saved, I.e., to make it into the new system.

  If you are just an average worldling, simply make sure you die before the GT and your death pays for all your sins. Yes and you will be raised with all the JWs who believed so hard in the Faithful Slave and worked tirelessly preaching the Organization message 10 hours a month for the last 50 years.

  So, for Jehovah’s Witnesses, salvation is by faith plus works.

  For the average Joe it's salvation by dying.

  The past 100 years of preaching were a waste of time.

  Since Jehovah directed us to stop requiring monthly publisher reporting as of November, we cannot provide an up-to-date accurate annual service report, now can we?. As a result annual reporting is discontinued unless Jehovah changes his mind again and we can require monthly publisher service reporting again. And don't think that we stopped the necessity of publisher reporting because our numbers are declining and we don't want you to know it. Apostates will no doubt capitalize on this with their lies.

  long time lurker here.

  i've been out for 8 years this very month.

  today is an important date for me because i'm posting on this forum for the first time and i just post my first video on youtube yesterday (channel : jw rogue) the channel is in french but you can activate the subtiles.

  Thoughts on annual meeting “new light”

  so, i finally saw the annual meeting video part 2.. this is the one with the “new light” on who might survive armageddon, vs. those who do not.. in summary, for those of you fortunate enough not to have to sit through it, it’s something like this:.

  old light: once the “great tribulation” starts, that’s it for non-jws.

  the “door of the ark” is closed.

  The WTS preaching effort was always useless propaganda peddling anyway. The millions who died between 1920 and 2023 are just about all going to be resurrected and given a chance to merit eternal life because they paid for their sins by their death. So they didn't need to hear any message from JWs at all.

  And now those with good hearts who die after the GT starts will also be raised. But those who had a lengthy Bible study with Witnesses and rejected their message will probably be destroyed during the GT or at Armageddon.

  So, no matter how you cut it, their message itself saves no one, not even those who receive it , and only serves to condemn those who don't.

  No one ever needed to become a JW to make it into the New System.

  Stop preaching and save lives JWs.

  The GB again claiming earthquakes prove it's the last days

  from jw org; 2023 - a year of anxiety:.

  “since the beginning of 2023, there have now been 13 earthquakes above magnitude 7 worldwide, one of the highest values since records began.”.

  www.earthquakes.bgs.ac.uk cites 3 reasons it may seem that earthquakes are increasing in intensity and number.. 1. more population growth = more people affected.. 2. clustered statistics.

  i’ve decided to disassociate from the jw organisation.

  i cannot be part of a community that blatantly rejects the sacrifice of jesus in that demonic memorial ritual.

  amazing what information you find when you start researching.. i’m writing my letter and posting it to the kingdom hall this morning.

  The Faithful Slave certainly acts as if they are the mediator between the other sheep and Jehovah. I have not found quotations from the literature stating that directly but I keep looking though.

  Why disfellowship must be eliminated for the survival of the WT itself

  this topic i digress about why the watchtower relaxing the rules of disfellowship is essential for its survival.

  many things i'm going to say are not my ideas, some are, the point is, i'm condensing everything in a logical and concise way.. the first thing we have to keep in mind is that the wt's main objective in instituting disfellowship has always been not to lose members because of the damage that a dissident could do, or to avoid gaining new members because of the bad reputation of a confessed sinner in the his/her region.

  in the end, the more active members, the more money to the coffers.. in this case of disfellowship due to apostasy, to avoid any spark, texts were sought out of context that even prohibited saying "hi".

  A message to the rank and file:

  No one can leave Jehovah's Witnesses with their reputation intact.

  Once a Jehovah's Witness, you had better stay a Jehovah's Witness or you will lose your family and friends and be shunned till your death unless you come crawling back to the organization pretending you believe their nonsense again.

  Worldly governments are being alerted to this fact and will turn on the organization for it's uncharitable treatment of former members and withdraw financial support and taxation benefits.

  And the GB have the nerve to call this bullying behavior a loving provision. Even the world, every democratic society can see the shunning of former members as cruelty.

  Jehovah's Witnesses, this controlling behavior will come to an end real soon. The faithful slave will suddenly get new light from Jehovah in the very near future telling you not to shun people who leave the religion since they are no longer viewed as “Christians” and Christians are not instructed to shun non-Christians.

  And of course there will be no apologies made
