I still think that the ultimate fate of the WT, whether they lift the shunning doctrine or not, is that the org will shrink to a shadow of what it has been - something small, very small, but still around.

Why disfellowship must be eliminated for the survival of the WT itself
by TheScientist inthis topic i digress about why the watchtower relaxing the rules of disfellowship is essential for its survival.
many things i'm going to say are not my ideas, some are, the point is, i'm condensing everything in a logical and concise way.. the first thing we have to keep in mind is that the wt's main objective in instituting disfellowship has always been not to lose members because of the damage that a dissident could do, or to avoid gaining new members because of the bad reputation of a confessed sinner in the his/her region.
in the end, the more active members, the more money to the coffers.. in this case of disfellowship due to apostasy, to avoid any spark, texts were sought out of context that even prohibited saying "hi".

NWPublisher app
by Rattigan350 ini heard on the meeting about apps called nwpublisher and cartsmart.
new world publisher (nw publisher) is a free apple ios and google android app created by jehovah’s witnesses for jehovah’s witnesses.
congregation publishers can install new world publisher on their mobile devices and be more united and connected with their congregation.. cartsmart was built to streamline the way we schedule our public witnessing shifts.

Who hosts it? Official WT app? Who pays for the resources?
If it's private, is there a subscription fee? If not, do they run ads (like Google ads) on the app to pay for it? If so can we run anti-jw ads on it?

Where is Tony?
by Athanasius inon february 22, 2023, anthony morris iii was officially removed from the governing body of jehovah's witnesses.
a few months later it was revealed that the watchtower bought him a house in lumberton, north carolina.. however, and correct me if i am wrong, since leaving the gb nobody has reported seeing tony attending jw meetings or participating in field service.
in fact nobody has reported seeing him anywhere, not even at a local liquor store.

As proven many times (sesrch the forum if you don't believe me), there is a secret society called The Kerfuffles. They run everything. Tony is now a member.

What If The Tower Fell?
by Big Dog inwhat if the truly unthinkable happened and the tower went down?
perhaps the irs swooped in and claimed fraud and padlocked the headquarters and kingdom hall doors?
or the gb took the money and ran to a nice non-extradition country to live out their years?

Largely in part because,, a sucker is born every minute.
They rely on their birthrate to keep it going.
This religion will be around long after we all assume room temperature. But it's going to shrink to an insignificant size. It will eventually assume the rightful size of what we would consider a "fringe group". Just like all the other Bible Student shoot-offs that are still around, but unimportant, their membership will get to about 50k, maybe even less because of their added lunacy.

I don’t think so.

At no point in WT eschatology is God’s Organization done away with.
The corporation of the WTB&TS is not the "Organization". The WT corporation could get nuked, and it wouldn't get rid of JWs, not even legally. Our hypothetical comatose JW would awken to see the WT attacked, the corporation dissolved, but the "brotherhood" still intact, even legally as another one of their corporations. He would still be going to meetings, perhaps in homes - exactly as they said it would happen.
This is why legal measures attempting to dissolve, or eliminate, the organization are futile. Sure, make them pay for CSA scandals. But never attempt to ban, dissolve, or outlaw them. It's only going to prolong the Organization's ultimate lifetime. The real "Organization" is the membership, and as plain, old, uneventful time rolls on and on, grinding away into menatenous illogical contradictions, it will shrink in membership, and then the religion will fade into obscurity.

It would be pretty hard to argue that it's God's earthly zorganisation if it was suddenly not there anymore.
You sure about that? JWs believe that governments will turn on them near the end. And it's the 'last days of the last days' now.
Take an average JW, bonk him over the head, put him in a coma. If he woke up one year later and found the WTB&TS had been dissolved, that would pretty much line up with what he'd expect. True, it's a bit out of order - other religions wouldn't be dissolved. But soon he would find the new corp, adopt the new name, accept the new light that they had the order a bit off ("oops we assumed it would happen like this and got a small detail incorrect, but look at the big picture!"), and soon he would be JW-ing as hard as ever, probably more so.

They've structured it so that they can bail on the WTBTS. You can kill the corporation, it would just reincarnate as something else, everyone would rally around the flag because of Satan's persecution, and it would come out the other end stronger... just not officially WTBTS.
The only way to kill the beast is to starve it. That happens slowly.

The ''dreaded'' birthday cake
by RULES & REGULATIONS inthe watchtower—study edition | september 2023. study article 39. let mildness be your strength.
11 if a workmate asks, for example, why we do not celebrate birthdays, consider: could he be wondering whether we are allowed to have a good time?
or might he feel that our position will dampen the company’s team spirit?

Internal logical consistency is a huge issue with JWs. If logical consistency is important to you, it's hard to stay JW.
