Marvin, when I go to your blog, it is too small to read. Am I doing something wrong?

Blood or Parts?
by Marvin Shilmer inkeeping it simple: .
technical language is often difficult for folks to follow.
to simplify things in relation to watchtowers blood doctrine, today i uploaded a new low-tech image onto my blog that should help folks see the utter stupidity of watchtowers blood doctrine.

Please help!! My friend is now a return visit / doorstep study!
by AiAi ini have a friend that is a youth minister for a local church.
he has a very good understanding of scripture and we frequently have interesting discussions.
we have talked about jw beliefs before and he is always surprised to find that they can really believe what they do.

Need advise... again...
by Expanded-Mind ingood morning.... on jan 3rd i posted that my son had recently contacted me and that i needed advice.
well, i need advice... again.... i have been very cautious about speaking with my son (a jw) about anything religious and have even been careful about talking with my daughter-in-law (who is catholic) about religion, but in a conversation i had with her a couple of weeks ago we had our first "real" conversation which included talking about why i left the jws and learning more about her faith and perspectives.
i did not intend to get into "religion" with her, but it was the normal flow of the conversation, since she is a very devout and active catholic and through her own reading before we even talked she had come to the conclusion that the watchtower is a cult (her words).

I really wish I had good advice, but these situations are so sticky, aren't they? You have been walking a tightrope so far, doing it pretty well. I would keep your own counsel. You best know how to handle it. Trust yourself.

so oompa got df'd this week...
by oompa inno call to invite me to a committee meeting...no notification of deciding i should be df'd....no telling my jw wife of the announcement...not a chance to appeal what i did not even know what was going on...my mini-serve son is devasted....he even researched it....told me to go to page 153-154 of the od book...never heard of it but it is a green hardback given to all who are to be baptized.
wow...the elders broke every rule in this book as to my case.... i have no respect for these men that can take away your jw family without even telling you they are going to.
my jw son has now begged me to meet with my committee...even though there is prob zero chance they can reverse the decision...that chance is from when they let you know...and you have to appeal by letter within 7 days (i cant make this stuff up!!

I hadn't been on all day. I am simply heartbroken for you! I wish there were more we could do. It's a terrible thing to do this to you without even telling you....

what did the jews believe about life after death?
by varian injws say, that they believed in the resurection of the dead on earth.
but i can t remember reading such a bible quote.
although i think mary said something about a resurection at the end of times...whatever that meant.. are there bible scriptures in the old testament which support such a believe?.

"Have you ever been in love?"
by compound complex inhorrible isn't it?
it makes you so vulnerable.
it opens your chest and it opens up your heart and it means that someone can get inside you and mess you up.

she had a hard life (which i will not divulge here) and the circumstances of her death weren't much better.

Memorial Partaker totals for 72 years by request!
by Atlantis inquestion from researcher: the other day you posted the australian peak publishers and i was wondering if it would be possible to post the numbers of the "memorial partakers" from 1935 to 2006. that would be about 72 years of totals.. my answer: yes, we can do that for you but it will take a few hours to get everything together and scanned.
i will have to use different forms of wt literature to accomplish this.. unless indicated otherwise, numbers listed show partakers for previous year and some could show: "still incomplete" but they are still listed as a total nevertheless.
cheers!

Their sacrifice is profound. I am no longer even able to enter--and yet they enter and suffer for something more important.
That is beautifully put.
