I didn't lose faith. I gained knowledge and clarity. It's been a wonderfully happy and freeing experience. I highly recommend discarding superstitions.

I did use logic and reason in examining my belief in god. I examined the bible and then looked at evidence for the existence of God. It resulted in my joining a new church. The Church of the Flying Spagetti Monster.

Rutherford's smear campaign (a must read)
by Leolaia inthere has been some interest recently about the moyle case, and how it may have set a precident in what became the society's disfellowshipping policy.
in july 1939, the chief legal counsel of the watchtower bible & tract society, olin r. moyle, resigned from his position in a protest over conditions at bethel and rutherford's mistreatment of workers.
he did not want to continue living under those conditions and he felt he could effect positive change for his brothers by taking such a stand.

Welcome. It's an interesting story and it's good you told it. Keep hanging around here and you'll get over the whole JW thing completely. I'll tell you my last straw. It was reading "The Athiest Book of Bible Stories" here on this forum. Opened my eyes. Here's the link:

You might want to share them.

TTATT acronym
by RayPublisher ini think it's about time this get updated so more folks know the other meaning of t.t.a.t.t.
ttatt is an acronym for "the thing around the thing.".
this term, first known to be used by neal thomison around 1998, refers to the meta issues which surround the topic in question.. in designing software, creating art or negotiating contracts often the context and implications of the topic on the history and interrelationships at play is often as significant, if not more significant, that the content of the topic itself.. .

I didn't know that. I thought it stood for "the truth about the truth". Learn something new everyday.
