The WT knew in 1922 that 1914 was wrong !
by Phizzy inin the may 1922 edition of the wt, page 133, rutherford is writing defending the work of russell and the 1914 doctrine, he quotes what some have said to prove russell was wrong :.
" "zedekiah was taken captive and jerusalem fell in the year 587 b. c.; thus showing that the full end of the gentile times and the fall of gentile governments is indicated to take place in 1934".. he goes on, in his own inimitable style, to disprove the above, but note, he is aware of the 587bce date for jerusalem's destruction.. if you are interested, you can read the whole mag here*, just click on pdf to read.. * https://ia700401.us.archive.org/19/items/1922watchtowerarticlesonchronology/1922_watchtower_articles_on_chronology.pdf.

Update on everything going on in JW Land - Insider Information
by thedepressedsoul ini'd like to start off by saying that i will be very vague in everything i say.

your comment on the younger ones, shows me how disconnected they really are to what is happening with the JW kids. The vast majority google or bing JW and find out TTATT. It is not the video games or movies, they know they have to play nice knowing the real meal deal.
I wondered if they (the GB) were so deluded not to see the information age is making them irrelevant.

What Are The Possibilities That The FBI Is Investigating The Watchtower Corporation Because Of All Child Molestation And Scandle
by Brokeback Watchtower ini was just reading this news clip about a mayor from my home town of waterbury, ct how was given a 37 year sentence for raping to minor girls.
the fed were watching him " trying to determine whether giordano was taking bribes from a mafia building contractor, fbi agents learned he was systematically raping the 9- and 11-year old daughter and niece of a prostitute in his office in the city hall.".

A pedophile database would be enough to justify an FBI investigation. The information would have national and cross state issues. I'm surprised they wouldn't want to get there hands on it for the same reasons we do.
I'd bugg it as well for money laundering.

That Splane bit - and how he ends it is nothing more than a suck up. We laid off all the cleaners and now you sisters get to clean you and your hubby's suite. So thank you.
Still that was one boring broadcast.
I will say that I enjoyed that male that worked out everyday because he valued his body, but how he ignored his spiritual well being. The first thing I thought was that he wants to join the ever waist line expanding body. Then sure enough the newly appointed MS friend had a little beer belly coming.
Irony.

Elders now ORDERED by the Org to fleece the sheep
by The Searcher inthe org is now demanding money from the witnesses, via the latest letter sent to elders regarding the circuit's excess funds.
succeeded in getting elders everywhere to hand over their own congregation's "excess funds" - now their circuit's bank balances are going to be plundered.. the spineless and subservient elders will cooperate without a whimper, because they're afraid of losing their little bit of power which the org has bestowed upon them.
(john 11:48).

The real sad part of this is that
1) The WT owns all the Circuits - these funds were only really used to support assemblies.
2) The WT already imposed a tax on the use of assembly facilities in the US and Canada (not sure on UK or Europe) of 5-9/publisher per assembly day, above and beyond the use charge per publisher.
Overall, this arrangement is really a nickle and dime way of ensuring that they get every penny faster. As an example most of us hear from the financial report that we started with $BB then had expenses leading up to assembly and assembly of $EX - the elder then decided to make a donation of $DN to the WT and we have received donations of $IN etc. leaving a defect of this assembly of $EB. (I have never heard a surplus)
This always excludes the donations that come in after the assembly announcement, so this letter really says that we want those monies faster.
Not rocket science, but it does say they have money issues. Its not big funds.

The Elders are Coming Help!
by LaurenM inso the elders keep bugging me and pestering me about having a meeting with them to "introduce me to my new congregation" for some reason (do any ex elders know what that even means??).
i keep postponing and making excuses and they are getting more and more aggressive.
i finally agreed for them to come over today, but really don't want to..should i hide from them again?

If you have been to the Hall it's likely something in your introduction letter that they following up on.
If you haven't been to the Hall it's the introduction letter is making then check up on you.
It's pretty standard for them to follow.
If you want toavoid them just say "it is nice to hear from you but at this time I'm seeking personal assistance dealing with a traumatic issue and need to deal with that first. Until that is dealt with is best that I keep my distance to avoid further trauma that might result in more expensive treatments.
That line is long but it works. If they dig tell them you can't say anything without legal present

Impact of the Royal Commission of Inquiry on JW policies and procedures
by steve2 inthe royal commission is not yet over.
the summary of findings on jws is not the end of the story.
the legal process is unfolding and the only open question is the extent to which jw organization in australia will be legally mandated to change its policies and procedures on child sexual abuse.. (on the question of shunning those who leave, the commission is well intended but has strayed beyond its legal brief.

steve2 - not sure I agree that its a good PR move. Its a much better PR move to say the past had errors and now we are better than what is required etc.
The current move shows arrogance from a PR perspective and is likely to cause more bad PR.
Overall I'd still say "what changes." This organization has never ever admitted the were wrong (at least that I can think of , 1914,1925,1975, etc).

Watchtower's response to Royal Commission shows they have learned nothing and will do nothing
by wannaexit ini've quickly read through watchtower's submission to the royal commission.
seems like they aren't planning to change policy anytime soon.
they are critical of how the royal commission handled the situation.. the tone is of the submission is shear arrogance.

F69 Members of the Jehovah’s Witness organisation who no longer want to be subject to the organisation’s rules and discipline have no alternative than to leave the organisation which requires that they disassociate from it.9.367 The policies and practices of Jehovah’s Witnesses do not require any individual who no longer wants to be subject to their “rules and discipline” to formally disassociate themselves. They can simply stop associating with the congregation. Such individuals are not shunned.
If you have a JC for apostasy here you go........ Omg -

Personally I feel vindicated by the report, but it's disgusting that this report ever had to be written. It's clear that the court is hopefully going to make them pay. I find it difficult to move past the 1800+ victims.
The courts clearly indicate that the elders lied and GB controls everything
