Elders & Ex Elders, did knowing sins of congregation members change how you treated them?
by Wasanelder Once inwhen you found out all the sins of fellow witnesses did it effect how you treated them?
it was shocking when i found out the range of bs these people did to each other.
i don't mean sexual abuse, i mean fraud, theft, infidelity and more.

I did know a brother that had a hard time with porn. Well when I found that out I'll admit it was tough to shake his hand after.

Wow, what a great video. Brought me to tears several times, and made me more firm in my resovle to never ever even entertain going back.
The video reminded me the efforts of Bill, and Barbra and helped me appreciate what they started, so thank you to you both. Your courage was and is amazing.
Best Cedars video yet, I still have goosebumps.
Thank you to all who took part. Thank you.

This will be first one missed. I'm strategically making family think I'm away that week.
For giggles I'll be buying wine and some bread to pass at the table so that if I'm asked I'll just say I was in xxxx city and yes I passed the wine and bread. -

Finding out the truth about the truth is indeed scary, and as such it requires much of your time in research and meditation on that research. Stick to the research first, it will make you more confident with your decisions.
You need more confidence to move forward, so do the leg work to ensure you know what your getting yourself out of. Its one thing to actually leave, its another to know why. As an example, and only an example, if the return to Jehovah brochure speaks to you, then you really haven't done your research.
You can find this is a good community of friends, but like the KH it can be tough as well because many others have gone through similar (but not the same) experiences of dealing with the immense pain of leaving that is caused by many.
I was terrified my wife was going to kick me out, so my goal was to educate myself about the truth, and then I learned to wake up her mind. So what is your goals?

VI - spot on with the Penton comment.
I told a CO once that I swear the only ones that agree to a study and get baptized are societies oddballs, or suffering from severe depression and we offer them a friend.
I say this with a grain of salt in that we are all unbalanced in some ways. Makes us human.

Humility is there biggest problem. If your humble enough to admit mistakes and make changes it would probably solve much.
Humility and power don't go hand in hand though. -

I thank the writer for adding more fuel to the fire. Scary to see such proof.
I am so grateful that my family and I could leave. Articles like this made my family question why I was part of such an evil organization. They were right. -

Are you an agronomist or a farmer? If so, I need your help. Related to Miracle Wheat
by ILoveTTATT2 ini am doing some investigation on the miracle wheat episode, and i have a question that i don't know the answer to, and i can't find the answer online.. it seems that, from what i have learnt online, that wheat is a self-pollinating, "perfect flower".
this means that once there is a strain that has a quality that's desirable, all you have to do is plant it, and that feature will remain "forever".
essentially the new plants are all clones.given that information, this statement by penton does not make sense:.

Only reason farmers don't keep seed from prior crops is a agreement with Monsanto. We used to keep seed every year to use for the next. Nothing fancy about it when it's wheat.
I had heard from some of the old russelites that some of the miracle wheat was just expensive normal seed.
All wheat is really no different today.
Not sure where but I have heard of russelites in Saskatchewan to find more information.
