True Outaservice, lots of little things add up.
Problemaddict - thanks for the tips. That Pirates of the Carribean restaurant looks amazing. Oh, and good to know about the KH nearby! I'll be sure to pack all our "meeting clothes" and books. Kidding!
my family and i will be heading to california next week to go to disneyland.
we have two children under 4, so i was thinking about bringing at least one stroller.. what is the weather like in november?
would a sweatshirt be warm enough, or a light winter coat?

Thank you for the tips everyone, I will check out those links.
Dagney, wow! That would be so much fun being from that area! I went to Disneyland when I was 4, and Disneyworld when I was 9 and have been waiting to get back there ever since. My husband has never been, so I think it will be lots of fun.
We'll be there midweek, and were thinking of going to a beach or something Saturday. Does anyone have a favorite beach they go to?

What is the weather like in November? Would a sweatshirt be warm enough, or a light winter coat? We're from Canada, so I thought a down filled jacket might be too toasty.
Any tips for our trip? We were planning on spending 3 or 4 days at the park, and then need to find something to do on Saturday because we have a late flight home.
Thanks!
i just watched the first part of this film.
i am now more screwed up than ever....... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a36_cwza0bk .

what attracted you to the watchtower?
were you raised in it?
if not, what caused you to convert?
Exactly tootired2care, I had doubts at 16 thanks to that purple interlinear Bible, but had to shove them aside. There wasn't really the Internet to check things out as much as you can today.
How sneaky the witnesses are telling newly studying ones that "Satan" might try and attack them or give them doubts when they are first learning the "truth." When my parents were first studying they got a lot of flack from family and chalked it up to "persecution." the only reason my parents studied was because my Gradmother was kind of a witness and they wanted to raise my sister and me with good morals. I wish they had picked another church.

i have a 3 and 1 year old.
hubby is a stay at home dad and i take care of the bills.
i have to, cause instead of working on his career when he was younger, he decided to pioneer- that is something that now i have to pay the price for which really sucks.. i feel that since i pay the bills, it's his job to cook and do all of the cleaning.
I am a stay at home mom with a 4 year old and 1 1/2 year old. I struggle to keep the house clean, the children tear it apart in two seconds flat. That being said, I do make sure to have dinner ready most nights by the time my husband is home from work. I do all the laundry, bill paying, grocery shopping, and most of the cleaning.
It's nice your husband is able to stay home with the children. It isn't easy! But he does need to pull more weight in the housekeeping department. I would also recommend counseling (especially if your work has an employee assistance program), and discuss expectations of how you both contribute to the family. You definitely shouldn't be working all day and doing the housework and cooking!
Is your husband depressed? There are some cool free courses on coursera.org your husband could check out and see what he's interested in. Perhaps he can do some online courses so he can be prepared to get a career in a few years? It might be nice for him to have something to work towards.

Mormons came to my door a few weeks ago and left me with a business card with their official website address on it. I thought it was much more modern than the JW tracts and pamphlets.
Their website also seems more interesting than the JWs, having printable coloring pages and activites for children who go to their convention (or whatever they call it).
Although I don't agree with their beliefs, they seem more up to date in reaching others with their message.
