  Out of many global horror news stories both sites chose to put up a news article on the Connecticut shooting.

  The mormons published theirs a few days prior to the JWs. The mormons article is far superior to the JWs.

  District Assembly Vehicle Parking Passes: $5.00

  i've been out for a few years now, but when i was in, we frequently had to purchase "vehicle parking passes" several weeks before the start of our district assembly (depending on the coliseum or stadium being rented at the time).

  it was usually $5.00 and you were given a 10" x 4" (or so) card with the assembly title/theme printed on.

  according to the instructions from a branch letter that was read out loud (usually at the end of the service meeting), this card had to be placed on the right side of your dashboard such that the dub parking attendants can easily see it as you drive through the parking entrance.

  This arrangement doesn't sound like it was voluntary and I wonder if they paid the appropriate taxes on this charge.

  ok guys i have cut and pasted from the march 3rd 1922 watchtower.

  i think this is great and can be shown to any witness to have them sratching thier little heads.

  one notice that they are still teaching christ's presence began in 1874 in 1922 and two this to me is a whopper.

  He talks about the French National Headquarters and further discussions clarify that the imposition of the tax would damage the JWs in France. There appeared to be no discussion as to how this would have affected the headquarters in the USA.

  When they again address the Headquarters one could only assume they mean the French Headquarters as this was what was initially defined.

  The video is more like a play where the actors are pretending to present a news report. They address each other as Mr rather than 'Brother'.

  we had to go off grid for a time, time and half a time as we thought we had been outed.

  fortunately it was a false alarm, but it was a stressful time.

  i asked for my original diary thread to be deleted in case there could be anything on there to identlfy mrs smith and i. i am always very careful when posting, and am sure there was nothing on there, but felt it best to have it removed in order to be as cautious as a dove.

  hi everyone, ok i guess this is controversial, but im doing it as therapy for me - so im not bitter about the way i was raised.

  entire family, 20 others die in fatal accidenttragedy struck weekend in akwa ibom state as a man, his wife and all their children, as well as more than 20 others, all members of the jehovahs witness church, perished in a fatal road accident which occurred, friday, along the utu etim ekpo road in etim ekpo local government area of the state.. forty other members of the church sustained varying degrees of injuries following in the crash which occurred on their way to the jehovahs witness annual convention ground in ikot ekpene local government area of the state.. thisdays gathered that more than 70 members of the church had hired a lorry to convey them from ukanafun local government area to ikot ekpene for the annual district convention which began on friday and billed to end today (sunday) but the journey ended half way with many members of the church dying on the road in the accident.. eyewitnesses alleged that the driver of the lorry conveying the church members to the venue of the convention lost control of the vehicle when he got to utu etim ekpo, the junction opposite the local government secretariat, and hit the stone used to construct the roundabout, thus resulting in the lorry somersaulting, leaving many of its passengers and others wounded.. the corpses and those injured in the accident were said to have been taken to neighbouring hospitals and mortuaries.. one of the eyewitnesses, mr. friday john, said the people who died may have been more than what was seen because a whole family including parents and their children were all trapped in the accident.. we were all here discussing when suddenly the lorry appeared and was looking like the driver had lost control of it.

  then the lorry drove straight and hit the stone and somersaulted into the gutter.. many people died, more than 18. in fact, we couldnt count the number because there were many corpses, including husband, wife and children and they were all taken to the mortuary in various hospitals near etim ekpo here, john explained.. in another narration, a secondary school teacher in eka uruk eshiet etim ekpo, mr. ndipmo nkanta, said the lorry boarded by the deceased and the injured passengers was not meant for passengers but goods only.. he blamed the accident on poverty , arguing that if there was a better alternative, such casualties wouldnt have been recorded, especially as they were going to worship god.. the public relations officer of the federal road safety corps, frsc, in the state, mr. godsgift uwen, blamed the incident on over-speeding and overloading by the driver of the lorry.. he said the lorry was not supposed to carry any passenger as it was a meant for goods only but the driver stubbornly used it as a passengers vehicle, which led to the sad incident.. he advised against rush and drunken driving, especially in the yuletide, noting that these are some of the major causes of accidents on the roads.. culled from thisday".

  Why are the world's anointed not called to Brooklyn to be Governing Body?

  when i was in the witnesses, and near the end of my time in.

  there was the whole new understanding, of putting non-anointed people in positions in the organization that were normally something an anointed person would be in.

  i remember them mentioning that the amount of anointed was dwindling and there needed to be people in these positions of responsibility, to make sure the work continues.. after this was highlighted and all good witnesses swallowed this thinking hook line and sinker.

  Small Victories!

  my husband's cult personality has relaxed since he's been seeing me go out in service and underline my watchtower, so yesterday it felt right to nudge him just a little more.

  "you know, i normally love the watchtower articles but the one i'm studying for tomorrow is just crazy.

  i'm beginning to think that there's a narcissist somewhere in the writing department.

  You've found a great secret here in how to deal with a partner and I thank you for sharing it.

  Instead of being critical and sour you explain the love and kindness that God shows and this is how he works which is far different to the way the wtbts explains it.

  You have high moral principles and by demonstrating this to your husband he is not scared off but willing to listen, open up and be a source of support to you.

  You have put a smile on my face today and I think you have the secret to a happy marriage.

  In many countries one way to stop sexual harrassment or to make a bully accountable is to report it to police. I wonder how many WT videos suggest this?
