No bibles, just advertising their publications, that speaks volumes.
A Bible Student, you did very well with your main message telling them to think.
i'm visiting my brother and his family in virginia for thanksgiving.
as i was looking out the kitchen window today, saturday, waiting for my sister-in-law to finish talking with my niece on the phone, i noticed an older couple in thick coats going to different houses in the cul-de-sac.
as i was watching the older couple and thinking about what i would do if they rang the door where i was and if they were jws, the door rang.. at the door were two older african-american women.

the new watchtower public edition titled "the war that chnaged the world" and the awake titled "how to invest your time wisely" for february are up.
looks like they are still sticking to 1914. they do talk about the war and tie it in with the 1914 interpretation.. watchtower public:.

"The start of that sanguinary conflict was doubtless part of his scheme to blind persons to what had happened in the heavens in fulfillment of Bible prophecy and also, if at all possible, to hinder the Kingdom from ruling over the world of mankind."
The question is, if WW1 had not occurred earlier then how would it have been evident that the Kingdom had been given to Jesus in Oct 1914? They have clarified their claim by using the words 'if at all possible'. It is just a nonsense piece of speculation.
this is what is written in the jan 2014 wt article .
let your kingdom comebut when?in his detailed prophecy about the conclusion of this system of things, jesus said: this generation will by no means pass away until all these things happen.
(read matthew 24:33-35.
They forgot the 'sanity' clause in that article.
Their definition of the term generation shows how the JW religion will make up anything just to fit in with it's own made up timetables.
If anyone thinks this is a petty issue then they just can't see the bigger picture. It really demonstrates just how gullible the average JW is if they swallow this rubbish.
god, evidently, wants you to be poor: .
a newly baptized brother is married, and he and his wife have three small children.
one day, a workmate suggested that he and the brother move to another company that paid a higher wage and provided more benefits.
Thanks SFPW, you've just given yourself away, you've just been having us on. You're pretty convincing though.
i live in holland and my children are 5 and 7 years old and live with their jw mom.. today i was pondering what legal rights i have as a parent regarding the status of my under age children within this religion.
what would happen if i was to send a registered letter to the branch and congregation, that as long as my children are under age they cannot be publishers or get baptised.
and if they are there will be legal consequences.
This topic has been discussed before on this forum, you might want to look at the below links.
this week's service meeting had another part about women wearing head coverings.there's already been a post about it, but i would like some thoughts from the forum on the scripture referenced.
11: 3-10. i want to focus on verses 4-6. it says this (nnwt):.
"4)every man who prays or prophesies with something on his head shames his head; 5) but every woman who prays or prophesies+ with her head uncovered shames her head, for it is one and the same as if she were a woman with a shaved head.
Just recalling how this issue of women's head coverings was raised. There were instructions for JW sisters to wear head coverings at the door if she is conducting a study and a male JW is with her in the Nov 2013 KM.
Ttattelder posted the scripture that this idea is based on and it made me realize once again just how sexist the org is.
Note
1Cor. 11: 4 states -
"4)Every man who prays or prophesies with something on his head shames his head"
Here in Australia hats were very common prior to the 70s and brothers often wore them out witnessing. Then again in the 90s hats once again made their appearance, we were warned of how dangerous the sun is here (apparently we have a hole in the ozone layer) and the problem of increasing the risk of skin cancers. I have seen the brothers go out in door to door work wearing a hat, it's a sensible thing to do.
I have not come across any instructions for brothers not to wear a hat whilst preaching or whilst giving a study at the doorstep. The GB once again prove how sexist they are and how they love lording it over the sisters.
hi as many of you know i am a born in baptized and in good standing, but mentally out.
when i was a kid it was always you will die soon and terrible pictures of horrid destruction.
then for a number of years not so much.
Anonymouz I don't ignore your posts but they are usually very hard to read. This last post of yours is well written and I can comprehend it for a change.
I don't know how you can guarantee that this will take at least 10 years, is there bible backing for that guarantee?
Also, although the org has a lot of money it is not that significant in the grand scale of economies and their monies would just be a drop in the ocean if it was to go towards funding a global government, I don't understand why they would bother if they can instead hold onto 7 million followers which won't happen if they cannot finance the organization any longer.
lu is a chinese word for street, and it may be one of the first chinese words a visitor learns, particularly if their hotel is sited near this street.. i'd like to show you what life is like innanjing lu, its attractions and its scams.. so first of, what can you see.
well, lots and lots of chinese, but these days (often) lots and lots of westerners.
this first video, shows chinese couples street dancing.
Thanks for sharing Fulltimestudent. I've read what you wrote but didn't click on the links other than the bridge which is amazing.
Who knows what the future holds for China but it wouldn't surprise me if they become the most powerful nation.
Hubby and I have made several trips to Hong Kong/Macu and really enjoy our visits there. We don't want to visit China for several reasons, including the difficulty in obtaining a Visa (we're Australian), the language barrier and a few other things but Shanghai might be a very interesting place to go to.
One thing is for sure. The pollution from China is disgraceful and for it to become as bad as it is shows there is very little humanity from China's rulership. It is inhumane both on a health level and on the enjoyment of nature. All their advancements just aren't worth the cost people have to pay.

He did not choose the job that paid 'more benefits', could that possibly have included health care? With three children chances are he regretted that decision.

wouldn't it be nice if they said 'you know what, we've made millions in property sales recently, lets donate a couple million to a philipines relief fund..'
ten vans full, probably just for jw's.
Jona received a report from a brother who visits the Philippine branch office in Quezon City on an almost daily basis. According to him, there are an unconfirmed number of 34 brothers dead from the typhoon. That report was modified by the branch, which issued a report of 26 confirmed dead. All of them had sought shelter in a Kingdom Hall in Tacloban, and were killed when the storm surge swept the building away.
Sounds like they don't want to count the children (unbaptized)/
