I can't really see that they would want to put themselves in the position that they owe money to sexually abused victims, with no way to pay it.

You will be even better off financially if you save up for the car before you buy it.

It is a good demonstration of how JWs cannot think outside the square. If an answer cannot be found in the publications they are not even interested in trying to work it out.

Embarrassed by Aggressive Apostates
by ShempLives inxjw protests & videos.
.. i am disturbed by some of the more aggressive apostates posting videos on youtube, like "a jw memorial to remember" where a drunk man goes to a memorial and downs the whole glass of wine as a sort of protest.
this video and others like it received positive comments from aawa members.

What did I miss? I watched the video from Tony Prime and I neither saw him drunk or drink a whole glass of wine. Is this claim true?

The reason the Society keeps everyone busy with "campaigns"
by stuckinarut2 inim sure that many have had an experience where we try and keep little kids "occupied" while on a boring trip, such as a car ride or plane flight.. we come up with "games" like..."lets see how many green cars we can count", or "lets try and see who can sit still for the longest time".
"the winner gets a prize!".
obviously, until they are wise enough to cotton on, all we are doing is keeping them occupied to prevent them asking things like "are we there yet?!".

you're right OnTheWayOut. They will provide figures of how many people are now visiting JW org and how this is evidence of their campaigns being soooo effective. JWs will think that they are now able to give people so much more information than the old method of leaving just one Awake and Watchtower magazine.

Emergency relief fund for the Philippines. How will it work.
by joe134cd ini was just thinking it will be interesting to see how the wts emergency relief fund will operate in the philippines.
ok it worked well with the storm in florida, with cashing in on the insurance cheques.
sorry to generalize, but americans have the disposable income, and the insurance polices for things like this - a thing the wtbts finds very attractive.

Eldenno, you are breaking the rules of the forum, see point 5. Is this how you witness for the Jehovah's Witnesses?
The Governing Body will be very pleased that they have made it into a major newspaper. The Governing Body aka the Faithful & Discreet Slave aren't being too discreet in providing a house to a JW where there neighbours are still living in ruins, sharing the resources around rather than making a specticle of some JW families may have been more considerate. Oh well, I notice one of the families have let the volunteer brothers stay in their new property as they had nowhere to stay, maybe they'll help out another family or two.

Thanks for the quotes Blondie. I think there are more recent quotes but generally the JWs were told not to speculate on this things as God knows best and they would only have concerns about things if they overthought it.

For long time witnesses and those not as well spoken, it must be difficult to place leaflets only. Return visits will be even harder. Without their normal tools of the trade they are going to feel less useful.
