The Real Truth About Raymond V. Franz Revealed!
by bjc2012 inand for those reasons, coj wanted in the beginning, to stay with the organization, just like bill bowens.
that is all carl wanted.
yes, as members of the governing body, they knew full well, exactly what carl's writings meant.

IN THEIR OWN WORDS: The mean-spirit of Russell's sham marriage
by Terry init is commonly known by jehovah's witnesses, the marriage of pastor c.t.russell and his wife maria (moe-rye-uh) was an uneasy one.. the marriage itself was founded on a weird interpretation of "virginity" and "purity" as only an obsessive-compulsive.
puritan fanatic might find agreeable.
the two of them were not to share a bed (or physical relations.).

Thanks for the link Terry. I had a fair deal of respect for Russell until I found out about his wife and how he treated her towards the end of their relationship but particularly more so after their seperation. As the leader of a religious organization he had no excuse for not monetarilly supporting his wife but he went even further by shifting monies from his personal accounts into business structures in order to avoid reasonable payments to her.
Even though these words were written more than 100 years ago it is uncanny as to how much of Mrs Russell's statements are so true of the organization and its leaders today.

THE CURRENT FADING OF BRAND NAME "THE WATCHTOWER"
by steve2 inthe current fading of brand name "the watchtower" & the rise, rise, rise of jw.org.
the watchtower as brand name is in the process of being imperceptibly faded from visibility in the organization.
who'd have thought you could make a watchtower fade and disappear?

Bibl3Thumper has posted a youtube of the celebrations that took place for German Delegates
&feature=em-subs_digestIt's hard to believe that they are now using the Kingdom Hall to sing pop songs and for dancing. Nearly the whole congregation ended up on their feet, making noises and swaying about.
I loved the huge convention celebration cake they provided, all inclusive of the Ford Logo prominantely displayed.
Ah yes, this religion transforms itself from the darkness into light in the most glorious and praiseworthy way. This includes bearing huge bags of gifts for the delegates, the privileged ones who are of 'high standing'.

International Convention in Arlington, Texas
by Rufus T. Firefly inthis year there were only two conventions in texas.
an international convention at at&t (cowboy) stadium in arlington, and a regional convention in houston.
projections for the arlington convention ranged from 60-85k, with attendees coming from ok, ar and la, no to mention the international delegates; however, the peak attendance on sunday was 50,000..
