the org (gb) teaches that only a few go to heaven, therefore everyone else is prevented from entering.. so, are they the scribes and pharisees that jesus spoke of at matt 23:13?.

Listener- What 'truths' in the Bible are you referring to.
For one, the Kingdom of heaven is open for us all. If you don't believe that then that is your personal choice whereas here we have a religion commanding their followers to believe that it is not true.

You are right Stuckinarut and I personally believe this is the greatest travesty of the JW religion. Their are many JW's who sincerely want to understand the truth's of the bible and are being decieved. The Governing Body are responsible for this .
- it's amazing to track the confusion and stupidity contained in wt articles.
- in only one watchtower you can find multiple contradictory statements, and representations of truth that are simply lies made up on the fly.

Thanks for that bit of research ObjectiveTruth, I was wondering what was being taught in 1925 but was pretty confident that it was something different to what they are teaching today. I think the whole point of mentioning Nathan Knorr was to show that he was obedient to the organization regardless of what they were teaching. He was faithful to the org and it was necessary for him to believe that the teachings at that time were considered to be the truth.
That article reconfirmed their idea regarding the interpretation of the two witnesses and even though the teaching is archaic and doesn't make any sense or have any real relevance to today, they expect the sheep to be obediant and believe that interpretation to be the truth. Worse still, they are also reconfirming that the prophecy of the two witnesses has already been fulfilled.
The article is so badly written that they don't even care to make it easier for the sheepies to understand, it is now all about just accepting as truth whatever they print.

We see so many photo's of the JWs making their way to their seats or sitting listening but we rarely see those joyous faces leaving the convention after such tremendous upbuilding with all this spiritual food.
well, that seems to be the latest hot thing amoung witnesses.
everybody buys a tablet.
even the poor families that eat carb heavy meals are gettin' em.. maybe they can't afford the latest apple product like the maxi/mini pad or whatever they're calling it these days so a trip to ebay or overstock.com fills the bill.. use it instead of a songbook.
This must be a huge expense for the parents of a large family but it must also be troublesome to many that would never have bought their younger children a personal computer because of the lack of control.
we all know that beth hell monitors this site.. they have repeatedly had sites shut down for quoting large portions of their litterature.
not this one.. do you think this board enables them to keep a finger on the pulse of what is going on in ex and aposto land?

Where God wants his truth to be known there are no barriers, not even the WTBTS can fight against his will.
so, i had an unexpected encounter with a jw today.
she was the caregiver who came to work to relieve me and she pulled out a jw.org tract and i told her i knew all about it because my family were part of it and i see it everywhere on their fb.
i, without thinking about the consequences, told her that i used to be one and now go to a baptist church.
I hate it too, when they think they are the only right ones and then go on about certain doctrines such as xmas or the trinity. They prove themselves all the time that they have also been wrong and readily accept this and do not allow others this flexibility.
You are doing the right thing by turning the other cheek by being graceful in forgiving them. They do not understand the hypocrysy of what they are doing.

This site is very powerful and the if it was possible to shut it down it would have happened years ago.
The idiots that shut down Kim and Mike's website have no idea what they are dealing with. It will only spur them along with twice as much conviction. They are doing a tremendous job and to see it being shut down goes to show the great effect they are having.
The WTBTS has worked years and years and court case after court case for religious freedom. Who knows to whom they've also bent over backwards to get their rights but when it comes to others they have no respect.

Don't accept their invitation to have a meal, or a drink, or a weekend social gathering, even with well behaving people.
This is anti witnessing and does a great deal of harm to their message when they put this into practice.
today on my morning run i saw two sets of jw's going door to door on boston st. one set was two ladies and the other was two guys.
after i has passed them up on the sidewalk i turned around and began walking towards them.
the ladies turned to go up to another home just before i got to them but the guys were still approaching.
Good job Donny. Who else are going to open the minds of Jws if we don't do it? It is very verve wrecking but the more we make an effort to do it the easier it will become.
