" i would like to continue adding some interesting bits and pieces from various forums, sites, blogs that are especially related to the 1914 doctrine.

In the 2007 Resurrection article they are declaring that divine truth is revealed to them but they are not sure how and think it may be through resurrected persons. At one time they claimed their knowledge was through careful study of the bible but this article makes the claim that some revelations are not limited to interpreting the bible.

If they are not sure how new information is revealed to them, or by whom, then they cannot be certain that they are being fed wrong information and accept it no matter from what source it comes from.

You can get bus ticket from london to Calais France for about 30£ it should be less than 30£ the rest of the way.

Ask whoever is giving you the money to buy the tickets instead.

Deceiving statements in The Watchtower (Study Edition) September 2015

neither a branch office nor the local congregation elders are authorized to make health-care decisions for a witness, even if he asks what to do.

The opening sentence of that article make it clear that the branch office or congregation elders do not have the authority to make medica! Decisions for others.

This must mean that there are many that do including the governing body, the head office, a co and even the medical person appointed by the congregation, I can't remember their actual title.

Who gave them that authority?

along with general bible study, dig into topics about which you may have questions.. you can imitate jesus by meditating on the wonderful promises jehovah has made to you.

Jws are again being encouraged to make a personal judgement as to who will be resurrected. No wonder there is a picture of an all seeing eye at the start of the article.

Revised New World Translation

i just wanted to put it out there that i am actually truly impressed by the revised nwt.

i think it's an awesome bible version.. the only issues i have are that it should only have "jehovah" in the new testament when quoting the old, and the alternate translation of john 1:1 in the footnote should be in the main text..

Why did the org "forgive" KH mortgages?

i know this has been discussed, but i think it's good that topics like this get brought back up from time to time for the sake of newbies and lurkers, plus, i have a question (related at end of post).. the org brags about "forgiving" kh mortgages as if it's so loving and giving.

i put the word in quotation marks because most of us realize it wasn't forgiving anything.

the new arrangement should actually bring it far more money.. for example, suppose there are twenty congregations total.

If you are in the business of lending money it is irrelevant what interest rate you are charging, you are still subject to the laws affecting lenders and these would be constantly changing. The poster above mentions one such change in 2014.

The wtbts had stopped the practice of charging interest but it has been reported that they benefited by transfering ownership of the halls to themselves.
