Is the Watchtower Bible & Tract Society one of your clients? If not, you could learn a few things from them, they've been very successful....so far. -

why won't watchtower tell abusers "i'm going to tell on you!

Parents, read Awake! October 2007 and October 8, 1993. Now play a game of
“What if . . . ?” with your child. Ask how your child would respond to different scenarios.
Children, practice how to respond.
The whole instruction sheet is so odd and so out of touch, it borders on being really weird, especially with calling it a game and the play acting.Ask how your child would respond to different scenarios.
Shouldn't that be "Ask you child how they would respond to different scenarios" or even more appropriately, giving the subject matter - "Ask you child to explain how they would respond to different scenarios"?
Is it just me or maybe some difference between American language and Australian language? -

I wonder if the speaker understands that according to their doctrine, the true Christian congregation and the New Covenant Christians are only made up of the anointed. -

Question about the number 2,520 and the book “New Heavens and a New Earth” (1953)
by Hecce inquestion about the number 2,520 and the book “new heavens and a new earth” (1953).
there is a footnote on page 138 of this book; it has to do with the number 2,520 being a perfect number and the result of multiplying the four perfect numbers in sequence.
i have done the math and it works.

There are many more than just those four numbers noted in that book. A title search shows that 2,520 is an abundant number and therefore not a perfect number.

Reading the Yearbook
by Listener ini just remembered something from the past as a jw.. in the 60s and 70s our dad would have a mini study at the dinner table every day on that days text from the yearbook.
one of us would read the text and then dad would ask questions or make comments about it.. this was, of course, on top of a weekly family study.. since there were usually about 7 of us at the table it required a number of yearbooks to be purchased.
the society came up with genius ways of why we needed so many of their publications, i am assuming this was suggested by them.. this daily ritual used to be done at breakfast to start with but ended up not working out so well, then it was changed to dinner time.

Did any of you guys do the same?

When selling was preaching ...
by Hecce ini am going way, way back.
history reveals that in the beginning the wt was just a publishing house, selling books and magazines; over the years it evolved into what it is today..
the placement of the original publications was mostly done thru sales people masquerading as preachers.

I was told that the pioneers paid so little because they have most of their literature for free.
At least that was one way to keep up with the high count of placements which was a requirement for them.

being given holy spirit is not the same as being anointed, nor are they the same as 144,000
by sowhatnow inso im at my moms the other day, and there lay the latest january study issue has an article about the whole made up silly story of the upper room and the holy spirit.
[ how hard it is to be quiet....] .
i have never read acts, and saw that story happen.

You make a lot of good points.
Other than the 7 so called anointed GB members the rest of the remnant are of no importance. I guess the only reason why they are told they are anointed is so they know they should be partaking once a year.
