  Major congregational quake in Southern California

  this notice is not official yet and it should be confidential until released thru the proper channels.

  a friend of mine told me about a huge elders meeting in southern california.

  the subject was the relocation and dissolution of some congregations; it seems that this is the result of some project that has been going on for some time and is going to be implemented right now.. please let me know if this is happening all over the country?.

  His book is available online to purchase and it lists the publishers as himself and his first wife.

  For Jackson to note that the Australian. Government printed it is boastful but he has also said that he turned down a scholarship when it is highly unlikely that he was ever offered one.

  Big news from Kim and Mikey, they state in thier latest video proof the WT invested in the Nazi war machine!!

  this is big!

  according to what they say if i'm correct an investigation was done back in 1998 in concerning what american companies invested money in to germany.

  mike and kim state that a document they have attained shows a list of american firms that had invested into germany as late as 1943. on this list is non other then watchtower !!

  Thisismein1972 Would you say the same thing regarding John Cedars and the whole CoC debacle? We cannot have one rule for one, and one rule for another!
  I believe this is realistically a personal attack on two individuals credibility and nothing more.

  My intent is not to attack Mike & Kim, they do a tremendous job. They put so much effort into their work and more importantly, they have helped and continue to help so many people. I personally find them very endearing. They have so much enthusiasm.
  
  Unfortunately, there are times when they provide misinformation. I don't for one minute, think this is on purpose, it's just a fallout from all the information they receive and wade through. What concerns me is that misinformation is being spread and that is not a good thing.

  CrazyGuy is right in saying that these things are worth looking into. When these issues are 'out there', it is not a bad thing to discuss them.
  
  Do you really think that I've attacked Kim and Mike? If so, could you please point out where I have done this so that I can personally reconsider how I phrase comments.

  with the proliferation of social media, more people have been reached by the watchtower organization than ever before in history.

  it sure took them long enough!.

  at the same time, anti-jw activism has caught fire to counterbalance the propaganda.. there are all sorts of activists operating "out there" using books, videos, podcasts, facebook, and incidental un-witnessing to puncture and perforate the false message and counterfeit codswallop of the governing body.. __________.

  Are quality restaurants even slightly aware of the concept..

  of providing high quality food?.

  personally i prefer the small restaurants with a owner who cooks the food.

  often the food is equally imaginative and just as tasty as the more expensive restaurant.

  The Rebel, I may be completely off track here but I think your wife may be upset that you spoiled her evening and it has little to do with the food. If she is the one who does most of the cooking it is a real treat to go out and have someone else cook.

  As you can't afford a bunch of flowers, cook a meal for her and make it special. I don't mean the food has to be special but the setting should be, put some thought into it and it will show.

  Midweek meeting video

  did anybody see the service meeting video this week?.

  australian sister was sexually abused as a child and thought of ending her life at 14 years old, sometime later jw's call on her father who accepts a study and eventually the whole family becomes witnesses, life gets much better as the sister immerses herself in pioneering etc, she still has some dark days but prayer along with going for walks and swimming has helped her cope with bad memories of child abuse, the new system (just around the corner) will completely fix everything......... i'm dumbfounded, the hypocrisy has literally rendered me speechless......comments anybody?.

  Life is to Short, sorry to hear that. I think your counselor will be shocked. Hopefully this thread has been helpful. If you can focus on their motive in presenting their unhelpful advice it might be easier to deflect it.

  I agree Slimboyfat. That is why I am trying to put to bed the claims that are being made. The sooner Mike and Kim take down that video the better.
  
  It's like saying that the millions of dollars worth of Assets that the Watchtower held in the USA during WWII is proof that they were supporting the USA war efforts.

  I was able to look at the source document that Kim and Mike are presenting in their video and it in no way supports the idea that the WTBTS support the Nazi war machine.
  
  Kim and Mike's claims in this instance are not supported by any proof.
  
  The page that they are using to support this claim comes from a report titled Research Findings About Ford-Werke under the Nazi Regime. The form can be found at page 122 and is headed Appendix A . Appendix A is list of Investment of U.S. Companies in Germany, 1943 .

  At the start of World War II, 250 American firms owned more than $450 million in assets in Germany. Ten of those firms owned 58.5 percent of the total. Ranked 16th by investment holdings, Ford held 1.9 percent of the total American investment. A chart showing the top 59 firms is attached as Appendix A, Investment of U.S. Companies in Germany, 1943.

  
  Therefore the form that Kim and Mike are using as some sort of proof about investing or financially supporting the War does no such thing. The form shows how much the WTBTS had in Assets in Germany during the war, and that's it. The amount was $596,576. That amount would have been the value of all their buildings in Germany, their printing machinery and all other assets, including money held in bank accounts.
