  keep in mind that this is the most important night of the year for the witnesses.

  A baffling physics question

  for several weeks i've been treating myself to a hot chocolate milk (well, soymilk) before bedtime.

  some 16 oz soymilk which i heat on high in our microwave oven.

  this is just enough time where the liquid begins to bubble along the top edge.. i then take it out of the microwave and place it on my kitchen gram scale, stir it good enough to redistribute the heat, then reset the scale to zero grams.. next, i squeeze in the hershey's sytup, "special dark mildly sweet chocolate" (fat free) into the warmed soymilk till the scale reads some 30 grams.

  From my experience with scales, if you stir food when it is sitting on the scale it will mess up the reading.

  The absurdity of the position of the Russian Ministry of Justice, demanding that all 396 religious organizations of Jehovah's Witnesses in Russia be ruled to be "extremist," and to ban their activity and confiscate their property, and also the mass of contradictions appearing in the course of judicial proceedings forced the Supreme Court of the RF on 7 April to again postpone consideration of the case, this time until 12 April, a Portal-Credo.Ru correspondent reports.

  It is a contradiction to what they have written in their "Political Neutrality' leaflet which states
  
  

  Jehovah’s Witnesses do not involve themselves in political issues or governmental affairs. They have no interest in attempting to influence governmental authorities. (John 15: 18; 17:14, 16) As a result of their spiritual values, Jehovah’s Witnesses do not involve themselves in lobbying, civil disobedience, or movements to seize power or bring about changes in governments or laws. The Witnesses’ simple stand of nonparticipation in political issues makes them exemplary, peace-loving citizens from whom governmental authorities have nothing to fear.

  This also means that by asking all JWs to involve themselves in this legal issue by writing letters, individuals have also become politically involved.

  Jehovah witnesses and life insurance

  my wife was recently cornered by the elders about her blood card because she didn't have one.

  so one elder witnessed her sign it and he signed it and one elder made himself her health care agent.. with the memorial coming up i am thinking of maybe having a life insurance policy drawn up, maybe in the amount of 300 or 400 dollars a month and i will ask these two dipshits if they would like to sign it.

  it only seems fair they should be finicially responsible for my son since they made my wife sign a document endangering her safety.. what do you think?.

  i think it would be great if the gb could testify on behalf of the russia brothers they say care so much about.

  if nothing else it would show the dear russian brothers that jehovahs organization has their back.

  and give them moral support.

  I agree with the views of the Russian ex JWs and thought they were stirring up trouble with their JW org video on banned books being planted in Russian Kingdom Halls.
  
  I am more convinced now that the video was fake and not real footage.

  One can see on our website a film where the mechanism of a plant is recorded; there it is obvious how the materials are being planted and then police reports are composed on the basis of which local religious organizations are liquidated.

  
  There may be something lost in translation but he refers to the video as being a demonstration as to how these publications are being planted and not evidence or proof that they have been caught out by video in doing this.
  
  But the real problem is, the video, up on their JW site, shows that the organization is capable of producing its own propaganda, both of a high quality and viewable by millions. They can make these accusations, whether true or not, or exaggerated, and they won't remain quiet about them, even re-enacting situations making them look authentic. They have shown they have some valuable resources at their beck and call and are not hesitant in using them.

  on my commute past 25 columbia heights, i noticed that the large 25'x25' jworg sign has come down.. i'm sure the sentiments of the entire brooklyn heights neighborhood are something like, "don't let the door hit you on the way out.
