  Help! Mike & Kim videos all being deleted by Youtube

  due to watchtower flagging the mike & kim videos on youtube for copyright, youtube is giving them 6 days before they are shutting down their entire youtube channel.

  can you help with a mass downloading program and then reuploading them on a mirror ?

  would hate to lose all those good videos!

  Russell Family Tree

  unfortunately i had to zoom out to put all of the family tree in one picture.russell had 2 full brothers, 2 full sisters, and a half-sister.

  it's interesting that margaret went on to be a jw (i.e.

  stayed with the watchtower organization), whereas mabel, his half-sister, went on to stay with the bible students.it would be very interesting to find the descendants of both margaret and mabel... wondering how many still are bible students / jw's.... .

  That's an interesting link that. It looks like the Watchtower an masthead were influenced by his families gravesite grounds, therefore giving honour to the dead. The plot thickens so to speak.

  Australia: Successful Liability Case against the Watchtower

  there's some fantastic news on jwvictims.org regarding a liability case filed against the watchtower in australia.

  according to the reporter, alexandra james, the civil case was mediated on last month and therefore there will be no court proceedings to report on.

  the reporter understands that there is no gag orders but it is currently under confidentiality privileges.also reported was the fact that the case had run for 18 months and involved a western australian abuse survivor.

  There's some fantastic news on JWVictims.org regarding a liability case filed against the Watchtower in Australia.

  According to the reporter, Alexandra James, the civil case was mediated on last month and therefore there will be no court proceedings to report on. The reporter understands that there is no gag orders but it is currently under confidentiality privileges.
  
  Also reported was the fact that the case had run for 18 months and involved a Western Australian abuse survivor. It is understood the criminal was an Elder in her Congregation and has since died.
  
  The reporter states that the Watchtower was found to have failed in their duty of care.
  
  The survivor still suffers physcologically from this abuse and was able to be an excellent witness for her case.

  This is wonderful news and a victory for the survivor and I hope that this will help to heal her a little more.
  
  Also I can't express how thankful I am to the survivor who has chosen a most difficult road to take over the last 18 months so that the Watchtower is being forced to account for it's negligence and as an encouragement to other victims that a little justice can be found and speaking out does make a difference.
  
  I would also like to thank those that have personally given their support to the survivor and been there to help her work through this.
  
  The report made mention that the Watchtower dealt with this case sensitively but made no policy changes due to it. This is to be expected knowing that there would be a number of 'worldly' witnesses to this case. However, if the Watchtower was truly God's channel and they claim to follow Christs lead then there should have been no need for the survivor to go through a formal legal process, they would have tried to provide some sort of compensation and apology before this.
  

  This is one huge step forward for Watchtower victims and particularly those living in Australia. Thank you again.

  in 1999 an elder from his congregation decided he wanted anthony out and arranged for a shepherding visit with another elder, this led to a jc.anthony roberts recorded the jcs and transcribed them, they can be found on his blog.

  i am unaware if anthony has made the actual recordings available.the hearings went on for hours and there was very little doctrinal discussion.

  I think Ray Franz was being very careful in what he wrote so that everything was 100% accurate. If even one thing could be proven wrong then it would bring into question everything he wrote. To this day, I have not seen one thing that he wrote as being proven wrong.

  Anyone go on a cruise?

  just finished a 7-day cruise from nyc on norwegian cruise line (ncl- gem).

  this is my first cruise in 30 years, so my past experience does not count.. overall, a great experience.

  ncl does a great job.

  I've been on two very short cruises on the Star Virgo and a couple of years ago, we were lucky enough to travel on the QM II, that was some experience. We travelled for 31 days from Perth, Australia to the UK, travelling around Africa. It was one of the most romantic things we had done.

  We made the booking about 4 months before the date of departure as we found a really cheap offer.

  We both felt that a two week cruise was probably long enough. An inside cabin is okay but on a longer cruise you're not getting as much fresh air as you would with a balcony cabin.

  We got plenty of excercise by taking the stairs and taking walks around the decks. We ate much more than usual without putting on weight but hardly touched anything made with flour and no rice or potatoes. There's too many delicious and healthy choices without filling up on those carbohydrates.

  There was a nasty flu going around and just about everyone on the boat caught it at one stage, we had brought some antibiotics with us and a few other medicines, including sea sickness tablets.

  I would not recommend it for people who are prone to motion sickness.

  The staged photo of Morris the III is funny and shows how distant he is from normal life. A bloke would at least roll his shirt sleeves up and take off his watch and he wouldn't like his photo taken in an apron.
