  One Year Past Disassociation - An Appraisal

  two weeks ago marked one year over my disassociation.

  time for an appraisal.. quick summary of my story for those who came in lately: my mother brought me into the witnesses when i was 4, grew up the role-model jw boy, baptized at 16, married a zealous reg.

  It's no wonder people fall to sleep during these talks. The illustrations were very poor, they hardly relate to the point they are trying to make.
  
  I skimmed through the video's at twice the speed but nowhere did I hear them discuss how the law would be written in their hearts. It's pretty sad.

  JC letter of invitation. Do they always get signed?

  i was just shown a jc letter from a friend and i noticed that the bottom of it was signed by tree elders.

  the letter specifically stated that it was an invitation to a "judicial committee" due to the brother having a marital relationship that was not aligned with bible principles.. i am asking because i remember reading experiences of brothers who demanded their jc be arranged over certified mail with signed letters to which elders refused to do.

  since they could not get this done the matter was dropped and no dfing ever happened.

  None of the Elders on my first JC summoned me, it was my father who told me, at least I knew what that one was about. For my second JC my father said the Elders wanted to see me and I was never told why until I got to the JC.

  Radio Ministers explain Satan's actions

  as i was driving home last night, i happened onto a radio station that had two "ministers" answering questions from the listeners.. they were just as clever as the wt in twisting explanations.

  i had to laugh as well as shake my head over the manipulation of the scriptures.

  the last question was, why does satan attack god's holy city after he is let loose at the end of the 1,000 years.

  The explanation I was given was that Satan was being given the opportunity to test mankind once all humans had been resurrected and were in a perfect condition, after all, couldn't he argue that turning imperfect humans away from God was no real test. Also, it would given Satan an extra 1,000 years whilst in the abyss, with no opportunity to do anything, to think of new ways in which to craftily deceive and tempt mankind.

  Hitachi TV Review

  i have never reviewed a product before, but having purchased a hitachi 50 inch full hd lcd tv at the weekend, i thought i'd share my experience.

  hitachi tv's are now made in turkey, and not by the hitachi company.

  the uk's sole supplier is the argos company.

  Stan has a good suggestion. We also add a speaker system to our very cheap TVs, the sound quality can end up better than a very expensive TV.

  He said that the Watchtower legal department told them they would have to leave straight away if the outcome was negative.

  He said that they did not have return tickets. If true, it is highly likely that they were breaking the law. Many countries will not approve a temp visa if there is no return ticket booked. Looking at Russia's requirements, this is the case and the visa must be obtained before entry into Russia and details of the return travel need to be included on the application form.

  Sounds like porky pies again.

  He says that in January he was feeling tired so he organised with a friend to attend an assembly in Finland in June. This long term feeling of tiredness would suggest he is feeling worn out. Maybe the 2018 theme text would do him more good. But as an unpaid Bethelite he must feel so honoured that he is one of a few that gets such expensive opportunities, all on a whim.

  Notice how, in the photo of the group of 18, he is pictured in the centre? Who needs birthdays.

  i have a 'financial advisor' email tell of massive changes coming to us (and thereby world currencies) on the above date.. does 13-dec 2017 mean anything to anyone.?.

  he is talking about the removal of cash etc now if this is half way correct where does it leave the money machine of the wt?.

  I haven't heard anything Zeb although if you look through advice from financial advisers you will see some of the talking about money markets collapsing and suggesting one way or another to invest. Usually though, there's money in it for them through various methods.
  
  These reports are more general, they don't put specific dates on when things will occur so your email is even more unusual.
