It is not up to them to say God is directing their Organization but rather that they should be following God's direction and therefore at best they should be humbly stating that they are doing their best to follow his direction.

by outsmartthesystem infor those of you with experience being asked this question.....or those of you that are/were elders........ what would happen if you responded to that question by saying "i don't know"?.
what would happen if you responded with "i choose not to answer that question."?
and then when they ask why, you say "because i wish to invoke my 5th amendment rights".

5/15 WT - WT Society Displays Condescending Attitude towards Marriage
by flipper inas most of us know the wt society has always claimed that it's dissapproved in god's sight to marry a non-jw .
although they've never made it a disfellowshipping offense, any jw who marries outside the jw organization is looked at as " weak " or lacking " spirituality " and loses certain alleged " privileges " in the congregations.
they use scriptures in the old testament as support for this.

Is the Watchtower shy about repeating their new "generation" teaching?
by slimboyfat inas i recall in the 1980s talks and watchtower literature, magazines and books were always talking about the "generation" teaching and how it proved armageddon was going to come any day now.. but am i correct in thinking they have only actually mentioned the new "overlapping generations" teaching once or twice in the literature?
why are they so shy about talking about their great new interpretation?
it's almost enough to make you suspect they are a embarrassed about it.. mention it once or twice, don't dwell on it, hope everyone just accepts it, and don't bring it up again.

'If you are a young person' - either you were or weren't, there is no hypotheticals in this statement
'You ALSO need to' - so regardless of whatever other statements were made in this article, the comments here are seperated in meaning by stating that this is a seperate requirement (that needs to be realized)
'you will never grow old in this present system of things' - they did not say 'you MAY/POSSIBLY never...' Here they were also fortelling the future of young people.

The strange thing is that if/when the WTBTS come up with a new definition there would be people like djeggnog that are willing to support it with hundreds of words and continue at the same time to brow beat others for not having 'deeper understanding'.

by smiddy inthis is a sugestion i have to all members of this board ,members from all over the world, to let the victorian government in australia know that the world is concerned about protecting the children of victoria ,and theirby setting a precedent for the rest of the world, who are interested in the outcome of the criminal charges against the religion of jehovah`s witnesses in refusing to abide by the legislation to get "working with children checks"when required to do so.correct me if i`m wrong but i think if all of us sent letters to the newspapers here in australia ,the different members of parliment here,we would demonstate that the victorian judicial system here is under scrutiny to do the right thing in the eyes of the world.. we all complain that the wtb&ts/jehovahs witnesses is a cult religion that sucks,destroying family relationships,here is a chance to do something about it.
whether you agree with steven unthank or not,here is an opportunity to stick up for the children of jehovah`s witnesses and every other child that a witness calls on in their door to door ministry.. what do you think ?.

Exciting experience about Amish couple joining JWs - and the shunning begins!

i believe my daughter has informed her that i dont go to meetings any more, and i think my friend is trying to encourage me.
however, my daughter has shunned me, my husband and her two brothers for almost five years even though none of us are dfd.

An interesting story and their new life as JWs has been marred by their deceipt which is being supported by the JWs. Reading between the lines, there are washing machines (one would think manual) that need to be delivered to their fellow friends who would not accept them if he was shunned and there is possible some spoken/unspoken legal agreement regarding this. So they deliberately hiding this information from them.
All for what reason? Money. If they had been the latest, you beaut models there may have been a few JW families prepared to take them of his hands.
