Does anyone have any fashion sense? Getting Married. Help?

i am a man and i have roughly 10 months to prepare for my wedding (including raising the funds etc... my fiance is caught up in her affairs associated with the wedding.

now i do have a pretty good sense of fashion when it comes to 'dress to impress' when required.

however, i'm not familiar with specific clothing lines.

You will need to think about colour coordinating with your wife.

Go to some fashionable boutiques and try a variety of clothes on. Take some photos discreetly. They often won't let you do this so you might have to take the photos in the change room. Note the material. Your body shape has to be taken into account and you won't get the overall picture of what looks sauve on you if you can't see it on yourself. Also sit down with the outfit on.

The Wedding outfit you are going to wear is charming and I agree with your fiancée, you will look like a prince.

From a females perspective, she will remember how you looked on this special day forever. It is a lovely gesture, all the thought you are putting into it.

I'm not sure Prologos, you do keep mentioning this point but I can't see it myself.

When the scripture states 'until all these things have occurred' could be referring to all the signs. Armageddon is not a sign.

picture yourself as a member of the brooklyn bethel family on friday morning, october 2, 1914. you are seated at your usual place at the breakfast table, awaiting the arrival of brother c. t. russell.

suddenly the door to the dining room opens and brother russell appears.

he pauses for a moment, as is his custom, and greets the bethel family with a cheery “good morning, all.” but then, instead of immediately taking his place at the head of the table, he claps his hands and makes a thrilling announcement: “the gentile times have ended; their kings have had their day!” you can hardly contain your joy—you have been looking forward to this moment for a long time!

it probably will never happen but... imagine the gb recieved some new light that told them the great tribulation was imminent.

the world is going to hell and all jws can expect until armageddon is terrible persecution the likes of which no christian has ever experienced in two thousand years.

but jehovah has a solution: put yourself and your family 'to sleep' and after armageddon's over, jehovah will 'wake his people up' at the resurrection.

No Pepperheart, you've got it all wrong. It's a loving provision from Jehovah for those that cannot give in other ways, such as the building work. It allows them to receive their share of blessings.

GB Gerrit Losch and his questionable article in the 7/14 WT study edition!!!

in this article gerrit talks about his father in the first and last paragraphs, what he says about him and his hope for him goes against all that witnesses have preached about the worldly for the last 100 years... as i recall aren't all the worldly supposed to be destroyed and never have a hope of everlasting life like jw's are, and isn't that the purpose of the preaching work to baptize and warn the worldly of this???

if not why do jws even preach, or even become jws in the first place if all have a hope of everlasting life, jw and non-jw, are they releasing a little hint at new light to come???

or am i just missing or over analyzing something?.

At the end of the November 2016 Broadcast Losch basically says the same thing about observing his father from heaven, who had died in battle when he as 2. He then adds that he hopes to see both his father and mother serving Jehovah.

It's strange that in his position as GB member he has told every JW not once, but twice about his father, who he has basically never seen. Also that he will be observing from heaven.

It's as if he is saying 'it's all about me, me, me'.

He is really just showing that he is going to have a lot of bias towards this father of his if he does get to heaven.

The GB love to brag about their future heavenly positions, so matter of factly and don't even bother to mention Jesus in all this.

Special Talk During the Meeting Today About the Bad Press in Canada

i was invited to a congregation in ontario, canada today and as soon as the meeting opened the brother conducting the meeting said there was a very important statement coming from the borg.

this talk replaced the two last parts of "living as a christian" section.

he started reading a letter from the borg about how much they loved us.

It sounds like the reference to windstorm is the bad publicity and the negative responses they are getting. They can't appropriately call it persecution because it's not.

just a heads up, since the last update the like / dislike votes sometimes don't display immediately due to caching.

they are all definitely counted though and will appear eventually, the issue is purely with the display part.

i'll look at fixing the cache so it's more immediate..
