  Clearly, undeniably, without doubt ... is there a term for introducing a thought in such a way.

  watchtower article often introduce a point that has no merit with words such a "undeniably.".

  for instance the watchtower 2014 august 15 page 10 says:.

  "jehovah undeniably blesses the preaching work of christian women and supports them in times of trial.

  Normative statements are subjective statements – i.e. they carry value judgments.

  This is is contrasted with a positive statement that is objective and based on available evidence.

  What is even more frustrating about the use of these words, they can often have more than one meaning, which the Watchtower knows and uses to deceive the reader.

  It it comes down to, from whose perspective these words are meant but the Watchtower's intention is to suggest that they are true.

  "observador" the leading online daily newspaper in portugal, published today an in-depth investigation about the practice of shunning by the jehovah's witnesses.. starting with the ongoing petition that i have submitted to collect signatures, the investigative reporter tânia pereirinha details how the branch is organized, who is who in the local branch office, the history of the organization, the pedophilia scandals, interviews lawmakers and the person responsible for the overseeing of the law of religious freedom, and the focuses on four life stories of people who were shunned.

  Sounds like Tania has presented a professional report by listing so much detail about the organisation that probably most JWs in Portugal don't know but can easily confirm to be correct. This helps to make her sound credible and that she has done her homework.

  It's good that you are listening to the advice of others and you should consider getting some professional therapy to help you both deal with this and to understand what has gone on now and in the past.

  Having been in an abusive situation, it is much better that your daughter is living with 12 other people. An abuser, particularly one that is possessive behaves much worse if in an isolated situation. If this boyfriend is dangerous, he has others to answer to and that includes his own mother, which in all likelihood, would mean that he tries not to do anything to make her think badly of him.

  Watchtower History Gem: I Found When Maria Got Her Teaching Certificate

  i consider myself an amateur watchtower history buff.

  i have always read that maria frances ackley russell, charles taze russell's first and only wife, went to a teacher training college and was a teacher for a number of years before marrying russell.

  but, i have never seen proof that she truly did finish college and became a certified teacher.

  I read in a previous thread on this site that she claimed primary authorship of volume 4 of the Studies. Whether true or not I have no idea. Honestly, volume 4 was I thought, tge weakest of the six books. Link

  How did those photo's get past the scrutiny of Morris III, in particular Bro. no 1 and 3?

  Its a strange selling point for the memorial this year, the focus is on it being a uniting event. It looks like they're having to defend the reason why 'the other sheep' attend.

  it was a respectful conversation from one side to the other.

  in the end i handed the dissociation letter in hand and a binding to each of the elders, with an article i wrote on the subject, "are jehovah's witnesses a destructive sect?

  As to the JW religion sticking their nose into whether a person is drunk or not and subjecting them to a JC is their business, that's what they do, they think they have the authority to do so.

  Thank you for sharing that. Who would have thought a disassociation letter could be so moving? You demonstrate that you have a real and deep appreciation of Christ.
  
  Why is it that the so called Governing Body of Jehovah's Witnesses have never been able to produce anything so meaningful? They've had opportunity after opportunity to do so. With a printing production worth millions, producing millions of publications, hundreds of video's and dozens of Broadcasts, nothing puts a match to your letter because of the real truth that it proclaims.
  
  I'll go even further to say that I haven't read anything in one sitting that I've found so spiritually powerful other than Ray Franz's book.

  These clowns have no depth of understanding about rights and wrongs.
  
  It has been well proven that DUI puts the drivers life in danger as well as others. They are more concerned with what they consider to be biblical drunkenness rather than the more serious issue of putting others in danger.
