It's not just the money that they will be using but it's also that sense of euphoria that they instil on the rank and file. That extra boost will be missing for a lot of JWs.

Coronavirus Positive

i'm day six of isolation, confirmed to have coronavirus.
i have been seeing very sick cv positive patients over the last month in my a&e role (emergency physician) it was inevitable i would contract it.. just wanted to give some symptom and treatment advice, it's anecdotal but may help.. started as sore throat and headache, then croaky voice, then dry cough, then episodic transient fevers, all this over the first few days.

For a religion that claims it bases its beliefs on the Bible, they continue to ignore important parts of Matthew 24 which states that no one knows the day or the hour and Verse 44 which states that Jesus comes "at an hour when you do not expect him." -

by JWTom inmy area is a large city spread across two u.s. states and multiple different cities and counties.
the area of 2.5 million is covered by parts of 4-5 different circuits.
many of those attending meetings are at-risk individuals with health problems or age related risk.

I imagine the Elders have been very busy taking calls from anxious followers who are seeking direction on what to buy and what to do. On top of that, they are having to make serious decisions.
The message from the GB seems to be that they still want meetings run unless the Government or local authorities suggest otherwise. Is this the wisest choice because it means waiting on the Government to make the announcement? Surely they could show direction by erring on the side of caution.

Just this last weekend in Western Australia people were buying freezers. There is none left in our stores and there's a 6 to 8 week wait for new stock to arrive. A sales lady said we should pre order if we wanted one because it looks like we will miss out if we don't. Now there's not much meat left in the supermarkets, particularly mince.
