  The Motive of the Governing Body

  i have been quiet of late, developing other interests, happy that there are a whole group of people producing great resources.

  however, i found some old emails from ray franz that promoted me to write an article that answers a question i regularly receive.

  it is in regards to the motive of governing body members.

  Thank you Paul for a very well reasoned out article. It's always great to read letters that were written by Ray Franz, who himself was humbled by his loss of position.

  You wrote this

  'All the Governing Body appointed since 2000 were raised to believe the end would be within their lifetime, and that the heavenly calling ended in 1935.'

  When you say 'raised', I think of that as being raised as a child in the religion. Tony Morris didn't come into the religion until he left the Army and became a GB member in 2005.

  What Do You Think Of Fining People For Not Wearing A Mask?

  some towns in massachusetts are fining people 1000 dollars for not wearing a mask 😷 outdoors.

  starting wednesday, the governor mandates everyone from 2 years of age up, must wear a mask or get a 300 dollar fine!.

  of course some governors are recommending that you rat out anyone that doesn’t follow their orders.. i don’t like it!👎🏿.

  How easy is it to obtain appropriate masks?

  Is there a particular standard that the masks need to be or could you wear something made out of mesh netting?

  Wearing Masks/ China&Other Asian countries

  i've been reading that in asian countries if you go outside without a mask on, your looked at oddly and with disapproval.

  it seems they have been wearing masks for years.

  yet uk/us/canada/ and other countries do not.

  Of course, next we will be told that wearing masks is mandatory once there are sufficient available. Then since our identity will be hidden, we will be told that chipping is required. I was wondering how the population would be swayed into believing that chipping was necessary.

  Covid-19 (Coronavirus) - Status Update Thread

  this topic is to focus on status updates & advice (no opinion or politics please).. status.

  latest status is that it's serious, probably isn't going to be contained and most large companies are making contingency plans, cancelling large events etc... which i don't think would happen if it was just people being alarmist.

  the incubation period means it may have already spread further and infected many more people than are currently known, so expect jumps in the numbers over the coming days and weeks.. tracking.

  I don't see how they can get accurate numbers of people who get the flu or the percentage that die from the flu.

  There a e a number of different strains of the flu, not everyone who has it reports and there is a large number who won't get it because they have had a vaccine.

  US Letter Read Sunday 4/26 at Meeting - No KH Use and No Field Service Indefinitely

  there was a letter read sunday at our meeting that mentioned some parts of us are starting to open back up.

  however, regardless of things opening up that no kingdom halls should be used for any meetings of any kind.

  also, no door-to-door ministry or any form of in-person ministry is allowed.

  Coronavirus Positive

  hey all,.

  i'm day six of isolation, confirmed to have coronavirus.

  i have been seeing very sick cv positive patients over the last month in my a&e role (emergency physician) it was inevitable i would contract it.. just wanted to give some symptom and treatment advice, it's anecdotal but may help.. started as sore throat and headache, then croaky voice, then dry cough, then episodic transient fevers, all this over the first few days.
