  How to politely refuse a last chance meeting with the elders?

  the elders are giving me a chance to meet up with them a last time in order to try to prevent a disfellowshipping.

  one of the elders will call me in two days to see what i think because i told him that i don't want to be in the religion anymore.

  how can i politely and painlessly refuse?

  Hello Bottle...you've got a good heart...maybe it would be good to meet with Elder Smith...if he is a nice person.

  A meeting would give you a chance to wrap things up....and move on with your life.

  Remember...this WT cult is built on Fear and Guilt.

  If Elder Smith starts dumping on you...Stand Firm....be yourself and tell him like it is.

  If you want to have some fun...

  Tell him...You have decided to READ the BIBLE instead of the WATCHTOWER.

  Tell him..."I discovered ...if I Fix My Eyes on Jesus...I will Never be put to shame"

  Tell him...."I want a closer relationship with the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit...you see I've been soaking in Romans chapter 8."

  Tell him..."I want the Spirit of God to fill me Elder Smith...Do you understand what I'm saying Elder Smith..??

  "I Want a Life of FREEDOM...I want to love God and love people...do you hear me Elder Smith..??

  my dad read something online that i posted and told the other elders (he's the boe coord.).

  they've read me articles about homosexuality and tried to coerce me to stay with the family instead of living with my uncle for a week.

  i went to my uncle's anyway.

  Hello BottleofWater... early congratulations on your path to FREEDOM!

  I don't mean to make light of a very difficult situation...but turn the Negitives...into Positives.

  Keep your wits about you...stay clear of stuff that will dull your Mind...ie drugs alcohol, etc.

  Develop a Plan ...sets some goals...then Work your Plan.

  Put it in writing and look at it everyday...there is power in doing this... I promise you.

  Don't be the Lone Ranger...there are people out there who can help....Seek them... and choose wisely.

  Being A JW Is FUN!!

  some people think that it must be miserable to be a jw because they dont celebrate christmas or birthdays.. but they're wrong!

  being a jw is miserable because you cant do fucking anything.. crazy hair day - this was a fundraising day where kids come to school with blue or red died hair and give a $2 donation.

  i wasnt allowed to do this because it was too worldly to have "crazy hair" and it would be too hard to wash it out for tomorrow nights meeting.. school camp - this was unnessisary association with those devil worshipping 9 year olds.

  just to be clear and not get in trouble by "someone" on this board, some of what i want to say in this post is adapted from a sermon from dallas willard.

  it's in my own words, but i don't want anyone telling me to beg god for forgiveness for "stealing" someone elses work by posting it on a forum.

  basically there are 2 ways of viewing the issue of salvation.

  i loved my congregation growing up.

  when i would go to the meetings, i felt i could go to school the next day and deal with the pressures of that day.

  @debator...Who said they "dislike witnesses" ??? ...It's the WBTS that I personally can't stand...

  I love my JW family... it is the man-made, distructive, mind controlling CULT and its destructive doctrines, rules and regs that stink!

  Is there anything that could actually bring down this farce of a religion?

  it seems as if they have survived it all.

  bad press such as articles on molestations, neutrality, blood, defections of high ranking officials, crazy changes in doctrines, financial stresses, passage of a 100 years without one prophecy coming true.

  yet they are still going strong with new members being recruited at a faster level than those who leave.

  I wonder how many bethelites would follow the GB...if they told them to drink it for Jehovah....

  Hmmm...rethinking...long history, to big, and to much money at stake, GB members are not in a desperate situation...
