I've read several times on here people mentioning something about Malawi. Can some one tell me what happend or give me the link about it? I tried the search but without results. This would be greatly appreciated.

poor thing, she's had alzheimer's for about 10 years and the last year she's been on hospice care because she's been so close to death.
the past few months she's been slowly filling up with water -- they gave her lasix (not sure of the spelling) to relieve the edema and it worked, sort of.
last weekend she actually looked a little better.
I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I pray peace come to you and your family. My heart aches for you.

OOOOOOOKKKKKKKKKKK!
I think someone had a little too much time on his hands.
we have just lost one of our dear brothers.
this new just came to me today via email.
i dedicate this post in memory of my best friend dave rapp who is one of us.
My thoughts and prayers are with you. I am so sorry.
the wts & its various corporations are a behemoth, rudderless ship with no one at the helm; only concerned with self-preservation.
the result is an inflexible organization slow to make change and not interested in the welfare & rights of individual members.. the internet and boards such as this allow for excellent communication and freedom of information.. because the internet is free and provides relative anonymity it has proven to be one of the greatest threats to the wts.. the wts leaders could be proactive and act in an ethical way, but they'd rather react when a perceived "threat" arises -- telling members to avoid the internet, shun family members, do more/stay busy, and so on.. as jt used to say, "i love this 'net thang".

Excuse me M.J. you pronounced that wrong:
THE INTERNET IS THE DEBUL!
i know i've asked this before, but i sometimes feel like i'm all alone here.
i get the emails about ex-jw meetups but no one ever meets.
was just trying to see if any new ones here are from la... .
I am from Louisiana. What area are you from?
whether by death, shunning, or some other means: here is a candle in their memory.
though gone from us, you are not forgotten and you will be forever loved.. for my dad, who killed himself two years ago today:.

I pray right now in the name of Jesus, that all ignorance will fall away from every heart that is bound by it, all eyes and ears will be opened to the true and living God, and His true love will forever abound in their spirits. AMEN
I totally agree with you. My heart aches for all those who lost their families and friends due to that cult.
i ask this question because my "atheist" friend the other day told me that he is much mentally free now since he left christianity.
he told me that "all" christians that he comes into contact with or knows from his religious lifetime are "miserable" and that the govt should abolish all christian groups for the sake of perserving the mental health of the people.
christians never are satisfied with their lives because they are trying to measure up to "jesus" and the apostles and will never measure up which causes many nervous breakdowns among religious people of all christian groups not just jw or mormons but many born-agains have mental breakdown as well.
"When in truth they never looked past what they wanted to see and hear."
I agree totally. Alot of people go to church looking for something to find wrong. The church I go to is very uplifting and no one looks at you any differently. I never wear a dress or skirt. My Pastor and his family are the biggest servants in church. When we have a dinner or get together, The pastor serves the meals. I once told him to sit down and let me serve and he told me that He was here to be a servant. He does live in a very nice house but he built that house before he became a Pastor. So sometimes you need to look at the background and not jump to conclusions.
