The men will like this. I was sitting with my 6 year old grand-son and he seen cheerleaders on television, he commented how HOT they were. Well wanting to know what goes through his head I asked what makes a woman pretty to him? Thinking he would say hair or eyes. Well I got my answer, he said "their bathing suits" I thought I would choke. LOL.

I will never knowingly eat a possum after what I seen as a little girl. My brothers and I grew up in the country. As country kids do we stayed in the woods alot. Well one day we came upon a dead cow. My older brother Andrew said that he bets there is a possum in the cow. I said no way. He ran and kicked the dead cow and sure enough a possum shot out of the butt of this dead cow. I screamed and ran all the way home. Had nightmares for a while because of this experience.

Once when I was about 16 at the monday night book study, this one elders wife was giving a comment. She was trying to quote the verse woe to the woman with a suckling (spelling?) child. Instead she said woe to the woman sucking a child. She never even realized she said it. I thought I would die laughing.
Another time I was at a Kingdom hall remodel. There was this really nice looking young guy. He was trying to impress us young sisters and decided to jump off the roof but didn't notice there was plywood leaning against the eave of the roof. As he jumped both of his feet caught the wood and he hit the ground flat on his chest. Really knocked the wind out of him. I don't remember seeing him at that kingdom hall anymore.

Does this happen to you?
by dogisgod inlets say you are just happily reading a book or newspaper and on the next page the word "jehovah" will jump out at you (and i mean that it's really there but it just kinda magnifies itself).
samething with kingdumb halls.
you'll be in a foreign community and drive by one and it's like "oh my god, a kingdumb hall!!

My husband laughs at me when we pass a kingdom hall. Cause when I see one my index fingers instantly go up into a cross shape and I hiss. Just something I feel like doing, lol.

I always hated how the parents used to spank the babies for playing. I once got very upset when a lady had a child with downs syndrome, she took her outside and spanked her with a ruler. The poor child was about 2 years old. She did not understand why she was getting spanked. Heck the baby couldn't even talk yet, but was spanked for babbling and making noises. I got so upset but kept my mouth shut cause I was just a teen at the time. The church I go to is so kid friendly. Nursery is 2 and under and all they do is play and get snacks. 2-4 is toddlers church and they are read a story of Gods love and do a craft and color a picture. That usually last about 15 minutes, then its snack time. After snack its outside to the playground to run and play with all sorts of toys to play with. For the kids 5-12 they have their own building where they go and play pool, foose ball, air hockey, and video games until its time to learn a lesson which lasts about 15-20 minutes, which the kids actually love cause it is taught in a fun way, then its playtime until church is over. I never understood how grown people could actually think a child could sit for so long.

welcome!
Indo dude, I had a female dog that used to take all my hubbys white socks9and white ones only) and walk and whine untill she got tired and then she would carry them under the recliner and make a sort of bed with them. Everytime it was laundry time I had to flip the recliner to get the stack of socks. Hubby would give them to her after he had worn them. She must have liked stinky socks, lol.

While growing up I used to have the most horrible nightmares. I dreamed of demons almost every night that I can remember. When I grew up and got married and left the borg, I no longer had nightmares. I figured it was due to everything being demonized and the constant being told to watch out for demons. How many of you were plagued by nightmares growing up a JW?

Looking for some insights and opinions
by Tired of the Hypocrisy infirst off, good evening all.
i have been having some weird stuff happen to me over the past couple of months and am wondering if anyone else has been through it or may have an idea as to why it may be happening.
i have my own theory, but want to hear other opinions before i make up my mind on how to deal with this situation.. as i have written on this board before, i am fading, inactive, married to an inactive wife who has a rabid jw family.

Real one, I agree with you. I go to a non-denominational church. It is very relaxing and when I leave it just feel right. No pressures. I feel uplifted not broke down. The pastor preaches on a personal relationship with God and no one else. It has helped me deal with the JW crap.

It's been a long time since I posted. Just been lurking. Any ways, this made me think about a conversation my mom and I had. We were discussing why I should go back. I told her that Jesus said that you will know my people by the love they have among them. I asked her to tell me one act of love that she has seen personaly. She could not name one act of love, and she has been a witness for almost 40 years. Now that is pitiful.
